World card makingday Save

Did you know that World Card Making Day is on October 1st this year and Stampin' Up! has a free event for all crafters!?

  • Join in on 1 October to celebrate World Card Making Day. During this free virtual event we will come together as a crafting community to do what we all love—make cards! 
  • World Card Making Day is all about making beautiful, heartfelt cards. During the event, we’ll walk you through several projects, and you’ll create the cards right along with us. You’ll end up with new project ideas and some stunning new cards!
  • To make the most of this experience, you can order the Cottage Rose Bundle from the 2022–2023 Annual Catalog, the Cottage Wreaths Bundle from the July–December 2022 Mini Catalog, or the Warm Welcome Bundle, which you can get early from the January–June 2023 Mini Catalog! If you want, you could even order all three bundles! The Warm Welcome Bundle will be available for purchase starting 1 September*.

More details:

  1. A few days before the event, we will add a shareable link to stampinup.com where you can access the event.  
  2. We will provide a list of products you’ll need before the event. We will also provide a Project Measurements PDF before the event. Following the event, we will post an Instructions PDF so that you can recreate the projects we made on World Card Making Day.
  3. Purchasing the bundles will add to the fun, but it isn’t necessary to join in. We want everyone to get excited about card making and see how easy, fun, and rewarding it can be. Anyone is welcome to use their own supplies during the event or just watch for the entertainment factor.  
  4. This event will be recorded and you’ll be able to access it on the platform after the live event.

  • Berries galore with the Berry Blessings & Sweet Strawberry fun fold cards!

    This week I'm sharing a bunch or swaps from the latest Flowerbugs Team swaps.  I love swapping with my Team!  They are so talented and creative!  

    Look at these adorable fun fold cards with the Berries bundles.  The dies are the Stitched So Sweetly dies.

    Karen created this fun fold card using the Sweet Strawberry bundle (seen here) which includes a stamp set and a strawberry punch plus the Berry Delightful Sale-a-Bration designer paper.  This special paper is part of a bundle that's free with a $100 order (more on this below).  It has raspberries, blueberries and strawberries plus picnic themed designs that remind you of aprons or tablecloths! 

    Measurements:

    • Poppy Parade card base 4 1/4" X 5 1/2", 2 3/4" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"

  • Snail Mail & Pretty Perennials; a cute combo with video!

    Here are the cards I created for Monday night's FB Live video.  It was 'Stamp with Me' night which occurs on the 2nd & 4th Monday nights.  Join me here!

    When I first saw the Snail Mail designer paper I fell in love!  I had absolutely no idea it would be this cute.  Have you found that to be true?  You see things in a catalog and think they're okay or kind of nice. But then in real life you are amazed?!  This is one of those papers!

    This was inspired by a similar card I received in a swap from my friend Dawn Olchefske.

  • Quick & Easy Easel Calendar cards with video!

    Look at this pretty Easel Calendar card made with brand new products!  

    Paper Blooms easel calendar Save

    I used product from both new Stampin' Up! 2021 catalogs.  The designer paper is called Paper Blooms and it's free with a $50 order during our Sale-a-Bration promotion. Click here to see it.

    The dragonfly & greeting are from the Dragonfly Garden bundle.  It's in the 2021 Spring catalog and you can see it here.

    These easel cards are so simple to make!  The scored, square piece is adhered to the inside bottom of the main card.

    Measurements:

    • card base 4 1/4" X 11"
    • easel 4" square.  Score at 1/2", 2" and 3 3/4"

    Here are a few more I created as gifts for my customers in December.  These calendars can be found online at a few different sites.  Just google 'mini tear off calendar'.

    These are made with designer papers from the Annual Catalog.  The left one above features the Artistic Blooms; the right is the Ornate Garden.  The greeting is from the Friend Like You stamp set.

    The pretty one below is made with the Forever Greenery designer paper. Who wouldn't want one of these at their desk?
