Stack & Cut cards with Dandy Designs & Something Fancy with PDF project sheet & template download!

I LOVE the cards I'm sharing with you today!!  So much!  

They're 'Stack & Cut' cards using an easy template I'll share below.  I created these for last week's Facebook Live.  The Dandy Design SAB designer paper features gorgeous color combinations like this one:

Who would have thought Balmy Blue & Coastal Cabana would be so pretty together?!  I sure didn't.  But with the small prints and the addition of White & Pool Party it works beautifully.

For each of these sets of cards I also featured the Something Fancy bundle.  It's one of my top picks. See it here.  The greetings are great but the dies!  WOW; the tags and layers are perfect!

This next set is all pastels in Fresh Freesia & Petal Pink; another color combo I would never have put together.  But it works!

You also might notice that each card is a fun fold.  Here are the measurements:

  • Horizontal cards – 4 1/4" X 11" card base, scored at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2"
  • Vertical cards 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base, scored at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4" 

Below is the template I used.  I started out with 4 pieces of designer paper measuring 3 3/4" X 5".  I cut two at a time using the measurements on the template.  Then I cut 4 pieces of card stock for the layer under the designer paper pieces.  It's so easy and a fabulous way to use up your designer paper AND get a bunch of cards done quickly.

You can see on the upper left and lower right a few of the optional die-cuts you can add to the tags.  The set actually features 3 options for details or a ribbon pull.

  • New: Vine Design Dutch Door fold card

    I made several cards for online swaps featuring products in the upcoming 2021 Spring & Sale-a-Bration catalog.  This pretty fun fold card was one of them.  I gravitate towards anything with leaves or vines so I knew I'd like this set called Vine Design.

    The colors here are Night of Navy, Seaside Spray & Old Olive with White. I used my Stamparatus for the vine image; it's so perfect for multiple cards!  Perfect inking and placement each time. 

    See that greeting & layered ovals?  We have a new   DOUBLE OVAL PUNCH!!!  I'm so excited about this one.  I've missed out oval punches so much and now both are in one!

    Supplies:

    • Stamps – Vine  Design (2021 Spring Catalog)
    • Ink – Old Olive, Navy, Seaside Spray
    • CS -  Old Olive, Navy, Seaside Spray, Whisper White
    • Other – Double Oval Punch, Detailed Trio Punch, Well Suited Twine combo pack, Rhinestones, dimensionals, Mini glue dots

    • Old Olive 5 1/2" X 4 1/4"
    • Night of Navy 2 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"

  • Retro Circles layout with a quick video. So unique & versatile!

    I hope you had a nice Christmas weekend!  We sure did.  It's one of my favorite times of the year; one time where all of my kids are home and we're all together. 

    Here's another card we made at my December card clubs.  It was such a hit on Facebook Live Stamp with Me that I had to do it at Club too.  It's a great way to show off your designer paper with this retro style.  Scroll down to see the video.

    You just need three circles of different sizes.  I used the Stitched Shapes dies so they have the extra detail of stitches on the edges.  I use these dies so much!  If you don't have them I highly recommend them. See them here. 

    I used the Brightly Gleaming specialty DSP here and instead of the copper foiled side I used the other side which has Navy, Mossy Meadow & Island Indigo.

    The stamped images are from the Itty Bitty Birthday & Lots to Celebrate stamp sets.  Just one ink color; Night of Navy.

    The above cards were made with various designer papers & stamp sets.  The top is Classic Christmas, left is Heartwarming Hugs and right is Snowflake Splendor. 

    Measurements:

    • Main card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • Neutral (White or Vanilla) is 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
    • Greeting strip is 1/2" X 5" 
    • Circles are the largest three stitched circle dies 1 3/4", 2 3/8" & 2 7/8"

  • Let it Snow?! Are you having a White Christmas?

    Merry Christmas everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your Holiday today and that you are able to spend time with some of your favorite people. This year is so unusual and difficult for many who are isolated.  I wish you the best and thank you for your support this past year.  

    We did just get snow this week; very unusual for us in North Dakota!  So it's a white Christmas after all.  

    Here are two of my favorite wintery cards featuring my Life is Beautiful stamp set.

    Snowman Save

    The card above is Seaside Spray with Black & White.  The stamp set is Snowman Season in the Annual Catalog. 

    Snowflake Splendor card Save

    This card is made with the Snowflake Splendor designer paper.  Ink colors are black, Balmy Blue & Highland Heather. The DSP is retiring in a week or so and it's on sale here. 

    Snowman Save

    This card is very similar to the one above only made with Early Espresso & Balmy Blue.
