Quick & beautiful cards for any occasion with the New Horizon suite.

If your style is clean and simple I have the perfect card layout for you! Look at these gorgeous cards!

New Horizons quick cards Save

I stamped a few of the images from the On the Horizon stamp set here.  I used the birds a lot!  They add a peaceful 'movement' to the card.

I used a version of my 5 at a time template for the card stock layers for these cards.  I use this often for the inside of my cards; especially if I need a white piece.  When making multiple cards it sure is nice to get 5 pieces from an 8 1/2" X 11" sheet instead of just 4.  I get a lot of people who ask me about this template.  If you like it I suggest you save it and either print it out or save on your computer for easy reference.

If you look closely at the cards with the trio of trees on them you'll see a 'watery' reflection. It's so easy with this New Horizon Designer Series Paper.  I shared how in the video here.

NEW HORIZONS 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER Save

Here's how this simple reflection is done. 

  1. Stamp the tree on the horizon line using full ink.
  2. Do not ink again. 
  3. Turn the stamp upside down and simply stamp under the first image.  Easy, instant reflection.

  • White card base 4 1/4" X 11" scored in half at 5 1/2"
  • Designer paper 3" X 4 1/2"
  • Card stock layer 3 1/8" X 4 5/8"
  • greeting strips 5/8" X 3"

  • New: Vine Design Dutch Door fold card

    I made several cards for online swaps featuring products in the upcoming 2021 Spring & Sale-a-Bration catalog.  This pretty fun fold card was one of them.  I gravitate towards anything with leaves or vines so I knew I'd like this set called Vine Design.  

    Vine Design Olive Save

    The colors here are Night of Navy, Seaside Spray & Old Olive with White. I used my Stamparatus for the vine image; it's so perfect for multiple cards!  Perfect inking and placement each time. 

    See that greeting & layered ovals?  We have a new   DOUBLE OVAL PUNCH!!!  I'm so excited about this one.  I've missed out oval punches so much and now both are in one!

  • Retro Circles layout with a quick video. So unique & versatile!

    I hope you had a nice Christmas weekend!  We sure did.  It's one of my favorite times of the year; one time where all of my kids are home and we're all together. 

    Here's another card we made at my December card clubs.  It was such a hit on Facebook Live Stamp with Me that I had to do it at Club too.  It's a great way to show off your designer paper with this retro style.  Scroll down to see the video. 

    Dec Retro Circles Club[1] Save

    You just need three circles of different sizes.  I used the Stitched Shapes dies so they have the extra detail of stitches on the edges.  I use these dies so much!  If you don't have them I highly recommend them. See them here. 

    I used the Brightly Gleaming specialty DSP here and instead of the copper foiled side I used the other side which has Navy, Mossy Meadow & Island Indigo.

    The stamped images are from the Itty Bitty Birthday & Lots to Celebrate stamp sets.  Just one ink color; Night of Navy.

    Dec Retro Circles Club[1] Save

    The above cards were made with various designer papers & stamp sets.  The top is Classic Christmas, left is Heartwarming Hugs and right is Snowflake Splendor. 

    Measurements:

    • Main card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • Neutral (White or Vanilla) is 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
    • Greeting strip is 1/2" X 5" 
    • Circles are the largest three stitched circle dies 1 3/4", 2 3/8" & 2 7/8"

  • Let it Snow?! Are you having a White Christmas?

    Merry Christmas everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your Holiday today and that you are able to spend time with some of your favorite people. This year is so unusual and difficult for many who are isolated.  I wish you the best and thank you for your support this past year.  

    We did just get snow this week; very unusual for us in North Dakota!  So it's a white Christmas after all.  

    Here are two of my favorite wintery cards featuring my Life is Beautiful stamp set.

    Snowman Save

    The card above is Seaside Spray with Black & White.  The stamp set is Snowman Season in the Annual Catalog. 

    Snowflake Splendor card Save

    This card is made with the Snowflake Splendor designer paper.  Ink colors are black, Balmy Blue & Highland Heather. The DSP is retiring in a week or so and it's on sale here. 

    Snowman Save

    This card is very similar to the one above only made with Early Espresso & Balmy Blue.
