New, beautiful Splendid Autumn card kit to go; now with an exclusive video tutorial!

Stampin' Up! knows we love scenic designer series paper and they created another winner with the Splendid Autumn DSP. I chose to feature it for one of my September card kits to go.

Each of the cards are a unique fun fold layout. I chose these designs specifically to show off the pretty papers. 

I offer both a pre-cut kit with products or the PDF tutorial option.  Both include the tutorial and now an unlisted video on how to assemble each card!  The PDF tutorial is emailed to you immediately after purchase from my shop. The video link is emailed to you soon after.  The pre-cut card kit is mailed out at the end of September.

I used the Layering Leaves stamp set for my greetings. I LOVE it; it's a go-to for an all occasions greeting set.

However you can substitute any greetings instead.  I specifically plan my cards kits so you only need greeting images; not a specific stamp set.

  • Neat Double Decker pop-up card with measurements

    Today I'm sharing a new pop-up fold – at least it's new to me!  It's called a Double Decker pop up. 

    Masterfully Made 5 Save

    Measurements: 

    • White card base 8 ½” X 5 ½” scored at 2 1/8” & 4 ¼”
    • White inside pop-up box – 3 ½” square scored at ¾”, 1 ½”, 2 ¼” and 3”
    • Front textured piece 1 7/8” X 5 ¼”
    • Scalloped White inside die-cut is 3 1/8” X 4 ½”
    • Fresh Freesia is 2 ¾” X 3 ¾”
    • Designer Paper – 2 pieces per card; 2 ½” X 3 ½” & 4” X 5 ¼”

    The inside 'box' that pops up the scalloped rectangle layer is adhered to both the side and back of the card.  It folds flat when mailing but sure adds nice dimension when the card is opened.

  • One Horse Open Sleigh Spanner fun fold card

    I was surprised to see the One Horse Open Sleigh designer paper back in stock.  It was unavailable last week but it's back now.  I featured it in one of my July card kits to go.  See it here online.

    ONE HORSE OPEN SLEIGH 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER Save

    This designer paper is so pretty; it's filled with beautiful scenes and soft prints. 

    It's called a spanner card because of it's unique fold – the horizontal layer spans the card from side to side.

    I added a few die-cut trees on the right side.  I colored them with Blends markers – adding brown and Gray Granite to the white. The greeting is from the Lasting Joy stamp set. 

    The Gray Granite card base is a simple 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".  Then you cut up to the score line at the 1 1/4" mark on front; on both sides. 

    I added designer paper to the center panel and also to both side panels.  The horizontal piece 'spans' under the to side panels like this:

    Measurements:

    • Card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4".  Cut up to the score line at 1 1/4". 
    • Horizontal layer 5 1/2" X 1"
    • Designer paper 2 3/4" X 4" and two pieces 1" X 4" for the sides.

    Next is the Leaves of Holly stamp set.  It was $22 and is now just $15.25 on clearance. 

    I created these beautiful Christmas cards on a video last year.

    I call it the 5 at a time technique.  You stamp one sheet of neutral paper and then cut it into 5 pieces using my template below.  And the neat thing is the layers under the stamped White card stock are also cut using a template. Just 2 sheets of card stock to make 5 card fronts!  *Watch the video below or click here.

    See how I stamped down the center of the White card stock on the photo above?  Next I cut it using the template below: 

    The first template is what you stamp on.  The one below is for the layers under the stamped pieces. It's just 1/8" larger for a nice thin layered accent.
