Masterfully Made & Wanted to Say quick card ideas with video tips

And our annual Stampin' Sale is done!  Each June my customers and I host a paper crafting sale – this year we had 30 sellers and we had a fabulous turnout!

That photo was just the stamps for sale; we had so much more!  I wish you could be here for it, but I know it is a long way for some to Minot, ND.  But if you're near me, plan for the weekend after Father's Day. Make a road trip if you can.  
We had one person come from St. Louis and another who was in town visiting from Peru!  They were so glad to be here for this annual event.

Last week I shared three card ideas featuring three products: Masterfully Made designer series paper, Wanted to Say dies and Border Basics dies. Here's one of them:

Wanted to Say Feel better Save

The Masterfully Made designer paper features a torn edge look to a few of the sheets.  I chose this one because of it's beautiful colors.  I added Berry Burst, Fresh Freesia and Azure Afternoon in the die-cuts from the Wanted to Say dies.  This set of dies has a detailed and a layered die for each set of words in the set, plus a bunch of other dies like the flowers I used here. The angled border on the White card base is die-cut with the Basic Borders dies seen here.  I love these and use them often.  You can see them here.  I saved the piece I die-cut and used it on another card.  Here are both of the cards I made, using two different sheets of the Masterfully Made DSP.

    Here's a closer view one card. I love how the solid images stamp with multiple hues of color without any effort!  It may look like my ink pad wasn't inked enough but this is on purpose. These Distinctive stamps are wonderful and provide a lot of dimension effortlessly!

  • Fun AND Easy layout you’ll use for Quick Cards!

    Here is the card design for Monday night's Stamp with Me Live.  It uses a 1 1/4" strip of designer paper and a few layers.  A quick & easy card! 

    4 piece FB Live Curry Save

    The above card features Crushed Curry with Black & White.  The embossing folder is the new Macrame 3D and the greeting is from Plentiful Plants. 

    I chose to use the Pattern Party designer paper pack on page 171 of the Annual Catalog.  It's FREE & only available with host rewards!  It has 48 sheets of double sided 12 X 12" paper.  One side of each is black and white and the other is fun patterns.  See it here.

  • Dragonfly Garden Quick Fun-fold Card with video!

    We made this pretty dragonfly card at last month's Card Clubs.  

    I knew I wanted to use the new In Color shimmer vellum and thought the Dragonflies punch would work perfectly.  It sure did!  I wish you could see the shimmer in person; it's beautiful! 

    Dragonfly Garden Pink Save

    They had a choice of Polished Pink or Fresh Freesia for their card and could punch a variety of colors for their dragonflies.  

    DRAGONFLY GARDEN BUNDLE (ENGLISH) Save

    We used the Dragonfly Garden stamp set which is bundled with the Dragonflies punch in the bundle seen here. See how the wings are curled?  The bone folder works beautifully for this.  *Watch the video below to see how it's done. 

    Tip: I recommend using Stazon Black ink when stamping on the vellum so it dries quickly. Vellum paper doesn't 'absorb' ink easily so it can stay wet a long time.
