Masked Blending Technique; join me Live tonight!

Tonight I'm sharing the Masked Blending technique on FB Live.  It's at 7:30 pm here on FB.  It will also be shared on my YouTube channel afterwards.  

Each month (usually on the last Monday) I host a 'Stamp with Me' Live on my FB page.  I post the project ahead of time so those who want to can prepare and create along with me.  

Tonight we're playing with masking & blending brushes to create cards like these:

I chose to use long post-it notes to 'mask' off the area I want to add color to.  I used Coastal Cabana ink and our Blending Brushes.  You can get an incredibly smooth look with these brushes.  I'll share my favorite tips on using them in the video.  

The stamp sets are all new in either the upcoming Spring or Sale-a-Bration catalogs. These catalogs go live on January 5th.

I did stamp the large flower an extra time and fussy cut it so I could pop it up for added dimension.

    • Black – card base 4 1/4" X 11" scored at 5 1/2", Black scalloped circle 2 3/4", plus a 2" X 4 1/2" strip, scored every inch for the flip box & a 3/4" X 2" strip for the flip part
    • White inside 4" X 5 1/4", White circle 2 1/3"
      Heartwarming Hugs DSP 1 1/2" X 4"
      Red circle 2 7/8"

    Well I thought I'd play with purple, green & white for this pretty card.

    I stamped the images in Old Olive & Gorgeous Grape along one side of the card. Then I textured it with the Timeless Type 3D embossing folder.  Lastly I added a greeting on a Picture This die-cut. 

    Measurements: 

    • card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • White 3 3/4" X 5"
    • Old Olive 4" X 5 1/4"

    I love seeing what my Flowerbugs make for our monthly Team swaps.  Swaps are optional and fun for those who choose to join in.

    Today I'm sharing two cards; one birthday and one Christmas.

    First is Tammi's card made with the Biggest Wish stamp set & the Pattern Party designer paper.  If you're wondering where this paper is from it's a Hostess choice.  You can get it as part of your free products with an order over $150.  That's when hostess benefits kick in.

    She added a wrap of the Black glittered ribbon around her 4"X 5 1/4" card front which brings in the Black stamped images to coordinate.  Here DSP is 4" X 3".  

    Next up is Candy's pretty wreath card.  

    She used the Forever Fern stamp set to create a wreath stamping around a masked off circle in the center.  What a great way to use a stamp set that isn't even Christmas!
