Gears & Textures bundle; another wow with Candace’s fun fold card

Today I’m sharing a neat card made by Candace; my talented team member. She used the Gears & Textures bundle to make this:

You can see the Gears & Textures bundle here. It’s so special & unique and perfect for masculine cards. But as you can see in Candace’s card it’s great for gals too!

She made her own paper with the stamps in the set. She used Pretty in Pink, Night of Navy & Flirty Flamingo inks. She added die-cut gears from the Metallic Textured Specialty papers seen here.

If you want to make a card like this start out with a 4 1/4″ X 11″ piece of card stock scored at 5 1/2″. Trim off a 1 1/2″ piece from one end. Then trim off another 2 1/2″ piece which is the vertical center piece. The stamped paper layers are 1 1/4″ X 4″ on the top & bottom and the center is 2 1/4″ X 4″.

Masked Blending Technique; join me Live tonight!

Tonight I'm sharing the Masked Blending technique on FB Live. It's at 7:30 pm here on FB. It will also be shared on my YouTube channel afterwards.

Each month (usually on the last Monday) I host a 'Stamp with Me' Live on my FB page. I post the project ahead of time so those who want to can prepare and create along with me.

Tonight we're playing with masking & blending brushes to create cards like these:

I chose to use long post-it notes to 'mask' off the area I want to add color to. I used Coastal Cabana ink and our Blending Brushes. You can get an incredibly smooth look with these brushes. I'll share my favorite tips on using them in the video.

The stamp sets are all new in either the upcoming Spring or Sale-a-Bration catalogs. These catalogs go live on January 5th.

I did stamp the large flower an extra time and fussy cut it so I could pop it up for added dimension.

Yesterday I shared a card seen here made with these two new products and today I'm sharing another one. I found it easy to create with the Petal Park bundle and the Kind & Sincere stamp set. They're coming out in the upcoming 2023 Spring Catalog by Stampin' Up!. I love them both!

Details:
- I stamped the 'Thanks' greeting on the White panel before I textured it with the new Cane Weave 3D embossing folder.
- The flowers are stamped in Petal Pink and Night of Navy. The leaves are fussy cut.
- The 'for everything' greeting is stamped and die-cut with the new Something Fancy dies
- The Soft Sea Foam green card base is 4 1/4" X 11" and scored at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2"
- The white panel is 4 1/4" X 2 3/4"; the Navy is 4 1/2" X 3".
- The Petal Pink layer is 2 1/2" X 4". I used the outline leaf image to stamp a background using Petal Pink ink.

I think I'll get a lot of use of the Kind & Sincere stamp set. I love that you can create your own greetings by putting together the large cursive words with the smaller printed words. So versatile!

Here are the 22 swaps I made. The two main colors are soft & fresh yet the addition of Navy brings it all together & makes it pop. I feel like Navy is slightly softer than Black, which is another of my favorite ways to add a depth of color.

Petal Park Sneak Peak from the Spring Catalog

This week I've been sharing some of the cards I made for online swaps I joined. I hope you're enjoying the sneak peaks!

Today I'm sharing a card made with a new stamp & punch bundle called Petal Park. It includes a new flower trio punch from the Spring catalog.

I chose to use the new Regency Park 6 X 6" designer paper; that's where I got the color combination of Balmy Blue, Night of Navy and Mango Melody. I love them together!

Measurements:
- The card base is 7 1/2" X 5 1/2". (I cut off 1" from a traditional 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base)
- The designer paper is 1" X 5 1/4" on the inside right edge.
- white panel is 2 3/4" X 3 3/4"
- Navy is 3" X 4" and the Mango strip is 1" X 4".
- The slanted die-cut greeting is from the Something Fancy dies
In the stamp set there are two sets of flowers – solid and outline. Plus two sets of leave images as well; outline and solid. I used both of the flower images, stamping them in Mango Melody & Balmy Blue. Then just the outline leaves for a lighter background. I did add some of the small dots in Mango all over the flowers & leaves.

I curled the petals after punching so they had a bit more dimension to them. I added pearls to the centers.

The greetings are from another new stamp set called Kind & Sincere. It has both large and small greetings so you can mix & match your words. I love this one!
