Two February Card kits; first is the serenely beautiful Sand & Sea

Here are the beautiful set of cards featuring the Sand & Sea suite for my February cards kit to go. 

Sand & Sea all cards Save

Each month I create a unique cards kit around a group of current Stampin' Up! products.  You receive around $20 in products and it costs just $28 with the pre-cut kit and PDF tutorial!  

Besides the pre-cut supplies for 10 cards (including the punched and die-cut pieces) you'll receive the following:

  • 1/2 pkg of Sand & Sea designer paper (6" X 12")
  • Blushing Bride & White twine
  • a share of new Opal round gems
  • a share of adhesive die-cut shells
  • the PDF tutorial which includes measurements, supplies, photos and step by step directions. 

**This kit does not include stamped images.  I used the Friends are like Seashells stamp set; you could use what you have or add it on to your kit. If you want either the stamp set or the bundle you can add them to your kit at an extra 10% discount! And you get a Sale-a-Bration choice then too!

*You'll also need your own ink. I used the following colors: Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand, Misty Moonlight & Pear Pizzazz.

  • Neat Double Decker pop-up card with measurements

    Today I'm sharing a new pop-up fold – at least it's new to me!  It's called a Double Decker pop up. 

    Masterfully Made 5 Save

    Measurements: 

    • White card base 8 ½” X 5 ½” scored at 2 1/8” & 4 ¼”
    • White inside pop-up box – 3 ½” square scored at ¾”, 1 ½”, 2 ¼” and 3”
    • Front textured piece 1 7/8” X 5 ¼”
    • Scalloped White inside die-cut is 3 1/8” X 4 ½”
    • Fresh Freesia is 2 ¾” X 3 ¾”
    • Designer Paper – 2 pieces per card; 2 ½” X 3 ½” & 4” X 5 ¼”

    The inside 'box' that pops up the scalloped rectangle layer is adhered to both the side and back of the card.  It folds flat when mailing but sure adds nice dimension when the card is opened.

  • One Horse Open Sleigh Spanner fun fold card

    I was surprised to see the One Horse Open Sleigh designer paper back in stock.  It was unavailable last week but it's back now.  I featured it in one of my July card kits to go.  See it here online.

    ONE HORSE OPEN SLEIGH 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER Save

    This designer paper is so pretty; it's filled with beautiful scenes and soft prints. 

    It's called a spanner card because of it's unique fold – the horizontal layer spans the card from side to side.

    I added a few die-cut trees on the right side.  I colored them with Blends markers – adding brown and Gray Granite to the white. The greeting is from the Lasting Joy stamp set. 

    The Gray Granite card base is a simple 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".  Then you cut up to the score line at the 1 1/4" mark on front; on both sides. 

    I added designer paper to the center panel and also to both side panels.  The horizontal piece 'spans' under the to side panels like this:

    Measurements:

    • Card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4".  Cut up to the score line at 1 1/4". 
    • Horizontal layer 5 1/2" X 1"
    • Designer paper 2 3/4" X 4" and two pieces 1" X 4" for the sides.

  • Check out these projects featuring Clearance Rack deals

    Next is the Leaves of Holly stamp set.  It was $22 and is now just $15.25 on clearance. 

    I created these beautiful Christmas cards on a video last year.

    I call it the 5 at a time technique.  You stamp one sheet of neutral paper and then cut it into 5 pieces using my template below.  And the neat thing is the layers under the stamped White card stock are also cut using a template. Just 2 sheets of card stock to make 5 card fronts!  *Watch the video below or click here.

    See how I stamped down the center of the White card stock on the photo above?  Next I cut it using the template below: 

    The first template is what you stamp on.  The one below is for the layers under the stamped pieces. It's just 1/8" larger for a nice thin layered accent.
