Earthen Elegance kit to go or get the PDF tutorial option

I couldn't decide which designer paper to feature for this month's card kit to go. So I did a poll on my Facebook page.  Earthen Elegance won!

Here are the cards I created: 

Earthen Elegance all Save

Three of the five designs are fun fold cards.  It seems like many people like to create these; something you don't get from a store-bought card.  

I used the Earthen Textures stamp set for my greetings and some Earthen Textures dies too.  You can use any greetings you'd like though. If you'd like to add on the Earthen Textures stamp set or bundle, message me here and I will add it on at a 10% savings. 

Pretty Peacock was a featured color in three of the five cards; It pairs beautifully with brown tones and vanilla here.  

The kit includes $20 in product including 1/2 pkg of the Earthen Textures DSP (6" X 12"), a share of the Natural Wavy trim, Neutrals adhesive-backed sequins and 10 vanilla envelopes.  For all that and the pre-cut kit, it's just $28 plus shipping!

Details on the pre-cut card kit: 

  • The pre-cut kit and products are mailed out by the end of the month, barring any back-orders. 
  • The kit includes all punched and die-cut pieces; everything is cut except your new designer paper. 
  • You will need your own ink, greetings and adhesives.  Plus a paper trimmer to cut your DSP. 
  • The PDF tutorial is sent to you immediately via email.
  • The tutorial includes step by step directions, photos, measurements and a supplies list.

    Here's another card I created on last week's video. Do you love colorful scenes too? 

    Peaceful Pier fun fold Save

    Here I used Cloud Cover cardstock for my base; scored it an extra time to create a flap near the center. This is a great way to add the main element of your card.  In this case it's a stamped and colored tree scene on our new Party Banner dies.  

    I found the Peaceful Pier stamp set seen here to be perfect for my scenes. It's a great line-art set you don't have to color in, as you can see in my example.

    I used these inks for blending; from bottom to top – Granny Apple Green, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight and Cloud Cover. Blending brushes make it easy to add ink smoothly. But there are tricks to it!

  • How to create a beautiful scene with the Peaceful Pier set; a free project sheet & video tutorial

    I shared a video tutorial on how to create this gorgeous scene last week.

    I used the Peaceful Pier stamp set, inks and blending brushes.  

    PEACEFUL PIER CLING STAMP SET (ENGLISH) Save

    I first stamped the dock and tree images using Black Memento ink. Then added a few more 'grass' images at the bottom. Next you add ink with Blending Brushes.  I used Lost Lagoon for the water, Granny Apple Green for the grass, Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight for the sky. 

    I did color the dock and trees with Blends markers. I did not need to mask anything. As long as you're adding ink lightly with the Blending Brushes you shouldn't need to.  

    Pieceful Pier scene Save

    After I was finished adding color I used the Textured Notes dies to cut my image into 2 pieces. Ad added the frame to a Black CS layer and added the center with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I love the dimension this gives to the card scene.
