Double-Decker fun fold card with video tutorial and free project sheet

Here's the second card we made at my September card clubs. It's a 'Double-Decker' fun fold card.

For the circle die-cuts I chose to use both Stylish Shapes for the Vanilla circles and Deckled circle dies for the Early Espresso circle.  The die-cuts in Vanilla & Copper Clay are from the Magical Meadow dies.

The greetings are from one of my favorite stamp sets in the Holiday catalog – So Sincere.

A double-decker card is where the center layer is popped up by a small box attached to the inside, back of the card like this.

Autumn Leaves doubledecker Save

You need to adhere the back layer before adding this box. Then you top it with your center layer; for my version it's a piece of designer paper.

I added a second circle to the inside designer paper layer for signing.  But one of my smart customers thought of adding it to the back so it doesn't cover up any of the pretty paper. A great idea!

  • Hand-Penned Cards Kit to go!

    I had a few requests to feature the pretty Hand-Penned designer paper for a kit to go.  So I had a play with it and came up with these cards:

    This kit to go includes a 10 cards pre-cut kit with 2 each of 5 designs including many fun-fold cards.  *Opt in by June 18th to get it!

  • Pretty Pansy Patch fun fold card with measurements!

    Check out this pretty fun fold card using the Pansy Patch suite:

    The flowers are die-cut from the Pansy Petals designer paper.  Yes; the Pansy dies match the Designer paper perfectly – 2 sets each of leaves and flowers coordinate!

    Note that adorable golden bee embellishment.  They're called Bumblebee trinkets but they are currently unavailable.  They should be back in stock around June 7th.

    Here are the measurements for this pretty card: 

    • Evening Evergreen:  8 ½” X 5 ½” base scored at 1 ¼” and 4 ¼”
    • Fresh Freesia: 1” X 5 ¼”
    • Basic White:  2 pieces – 3” X 4 ¼” for stitched rectangle die-cut and 2 ¾” X 4” for inside
    • Pansy Petals Designer Paper: 1 ½” X 5 ½” plus more for the die-cut pansies
