Double-Decker fun fold card with video tutorial and free project sheet

Here's the second card we made at my September card clubs. It's a 'Double-Decker' fun fold card.

For the circle die-cuts I chose to use both Stylish Shapes for the Vanilla circles and Deckled circle dies for the Early Espresso circle.  The die-cuts in Vanilla & Copper Clay are from the Magical Meadow dies.

The greetings are from one of my favorite stamp sets in the Holiday catalog – So Sincere.

A double-decker card is where the center layer is popped up by a small box attached to the inside, back of the card like this.

You need to adhere the back layer before adding this box. Then you top it with your center layer; for my version it's a piece of designer paper.

I added a second circle to the inside designer paper layer for signing.  But one of my smart customers thought of adding it to the back so it doesn't cover up any of the pretty paper. A great idea!

    • Black – card base 4 1/4" X 11" scored at 5 1/2", Black scalloped circle 2 3/4", plus a 2" X 4 1/2" strip, scored every inch for the flip box & a 3/4" X 2" strip for the flip part
    • White inside 4" X 5 1/4", White circle 2 1/3"
      Heartwarming Hugs DSP 1 1/2" X 4"
      Red circle 2 7/8"

  • Eden’s Garden card in fresh colors

    Well I thought I'd play with purple, green & white for this pretty card.

    I stamped the images in Old Olive & Gorgeous Grape along one side of the card. Then I textured it with the Timeless Type 3D embossing folder.  Lastly I added a greeting on a Picture This die-cut. 

    Measurements: 

    • card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • White 3 3/4" X 5"
    • Old Olive 4" X 5 1/4"

    I love seeing what my Flowerbugs make for our monthly Team swaps.  Swaps are optional and fun for those who choose to join in.

    Today I'm sharing two cards; one birthday and one Christmas.

    First is Tammi's card made with the Biggest Wish stamp set & the Pattern Party designer paper.  If you're wondering where this paper is from it's a Hostess choice.  You can get it as part of your free products with an order over $150.  That's when hostess benefits kick in.

    She added a wrap of the Black glittered ribbon around her 4"X 5 1/4" card front which brings in the Black stamped images to coordinate.  Here DSP is 4" X 3".  

    Next up is Candy's pretty wreath card.  

    She used the Forever Fern stamp set to create a wreath stamping around a masked off circle in the center.  What a great way to use a stamp set that isn't even Christmas!
