Clever & Amazing interactive triple-tier cake card with video tutorial!

This card might look like an ordinary card with a layered cake on front but it's not!

The Bright & Beautiful designer paper is new in Stampin' Up!'s annual catalog.  It's filled with fun and colorful patterns in many of our new core colors.  Love this paper!

If you've followed me for awhile you know I like to create interesting fun fold cards. I saw something like this card online and knew my stampers would like to see it.  

I cut strips or pieces of the Bright & Beautiful designer paper into sizes that would make a nicely layered cake.  Each piece is folded in half. Once you open them there's an inside message on each layer.  So cool! 

And the best thing is that the middle star die-cut hold the lower flap closed which then holds each layer closed.

  • Trio of Celebrate Sunflowers cards with video & an easy highlighting technique!

    Look at these gorgeous sunflower cards!  They were a big hit at my Card Clubs this month.  They could chose between Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade and Calypso Coral ink for their sunflower.

    We sponged each sunflower leaving the center without color except for a bit of Crumb Cake Blends marker.  I know it might not be realistic but I like the pop of White in the center for brightness.

    Then we used White Craft ink and Blender pens to highlight a few petals here and there on the sunflowers.  It's super easy! I created a video below so you can see how it's done.

  • Triangle DSP cards with video

    If you want to make quick yet fabulous cards join me every other Monday night for Stamp with Me Live on Facebook.  It's the 2nd & 4th Monday's at 7:30 pm CT here. 

    I tend to focus on using Designer Paper but sometimes it's just a great layout or a new technique.  I share the projects & measurements on Saturdays so you can prep your supplies and stamp right along with me.
