Beautiful Sunrise Sailing card with multiple techniques and free project sheet

Today is the last day of the June Specials:

Today I'm sharing one of my June Club cards.  It's super fun to make because we did multiple techniques.

I showcased the Sunrise Sailing bundle seen here.  I love the stamp images AND the dies in this bundle.  They're wonderful and really spark creativity.

My colors include Pool Party, White and Pecan Pie. The Hybrid embossing folder in this bundle allows you to get a textured sailboat – you can cut & texture all at once!  Watch the video to see how it's done.

Notice the textured clouds in the sky. I rubbed my White Craft ink pad directly on the textured Pool Party card stock.  I show how in the video below.  I also added Pool Party ink to the textured waves on the bottom of the card using a blending brush.

Look at the loop of Linen Thread on the greeting above.  This was a fun & easy way to add something else that is a bit nautical.

I create a free project sheet for my Card Clubs each month and then share it with you once I do the video tutorial. I also share it on the same day as my video on my Flowerbug's Stamp & Share FB group here .

You'll find the video tutorial for this card and another Sailing card below. Don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel while you're watching!

I'll share another card with this bundle on Wednesday.

  • Pumpkin Patch pop-up Fun Fold card

Paula made this super special fun-fold card for our September Team card swap:

Can you see how the framed scene is lowering as the card is opened?  She cased this idea from Creating with Kristina who cased it from Sharon Armstrong.

The colors are Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Mossy Meadow and White. Her DSP is from the Take to the Sky pack. The dies to create the frame are called Countryside Corners dies and can be seen here.

Isn't that neat?!  It's been awhile since I've made one of these types of cards but her card inspires me to make one.

This stamp set is called Pumpkin Patch and is part of our Online Exclusives.  See it here.

If you look closely at the stamped scene you can tell that she masked her pumpkins & fence. Her sponged sky & grass sure add to the realistic scene!  So well done!

Today I'm sharing a really neat fall themed card swap made by Lori. It's so pretty!

She used the Autumn Expressions bundle seen here.  It has the neatest double frame die plus the chain, pretty leaves and more.

She used the gorgeous Splendid Autumn DSP for her textured background and also for the scene inside the hanging frame. This DSP is unavailable right now; it should be back sometime this week.  You can see it here.

Don't you love the foil frame and hanging chain?!

    Measurements:

    • Card base 4 1/4" X 11" score at 5 1/2"
    • Crushed Curry 4" X 5 1/4"
    • Textured DSP 3 3/4" X 5"
    • Vanilla inside 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"

Can you see how the frame lifts up?  It reveals the back of the DSP on top and the stamped greeting inside.

I love the pretty greetings in this set.  And below you can also see the dies that are included. The frame folds on the scored hinge but you can use it alone too.

Here's the inside view.  Her colors include Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadow, Vanilla & copper from the Textured Metallic specialty paper seen here.

Next is another pretty card made by Marla. She also used the Splendid Autumn Designer paper for this fun fold card.

One 6" X 5 1/4" DSP piece is cut into 3 pieces to create this neat card.

Measurements: She scored her 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" Cajun Craze card base as follows: 2 1/8" and 2 1/4". The DSP and Vanilla layers are all 2" X 5 1/4".  The best thing about these scenic cards is how the scene continues as you open the card. So be sure to cut and adhere the pieces in order.

The greeting is from Thoughtful Journey; the leaf images are from You are Beautiful & maybe Irresistible Blooms.

  • Casing my friend with Caring Leaves & video

Last week I was out of town to see my son get married in the beautiful Grand Tetons National Park in Wyoming.

The photographer was incredible; I have to share some of her early shots with you.  It was a quick trip but we were blessed to be there for the small ceremony. We had a wonderful time driving through the stunning park with the photographer scouting out photo opportunities.  We're thrilled to add Katrina to our family!

Today I'm sharing the swap card I made for our Team card swap this month:

My colors include Pretty Peacock, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Beige & Very Vanilla.  Peacock is one of my favorite 'outside the box' colors for autumn projects.

Two of my favorite types of stamps are 2-step and Distinktive and this set is both!  It's a sweet & simple set & it's just $17. See it here.

When I was planning my card for the swap I came across the card on the left below.  It's one my friend Susie Wood made awhile ago. I loved the layout and cased it using the Caring Leaves set.

Casing a favorite card or layout is my go to when designing a new project. It's fun to switch up colors and products while using the same design.

I created a video that's posted below.  I stamped the outline leaves on the large Pretty Peacock layer before embossing it with the Forever Plaid 3D embossing folder. I also stamped an extra leaf to fussy cut and add under the tag.  See the measurements below.

    Measurements:

    • Basic Beige 4 1/4" X 11" score at 5 1/2"
    • Pretty Peacock 2 3/4" X 5 1/2", 2 3/4" X 4
    • Pumpkin Pie 2 1/2" X 3 3/4", 4 1/4" X 1" strip
    • Very Vanilla 2 1/4" X 3 1/2" plus tag die-cut

Below is the video I shared along with card swaps from my Team.
