Wisteria Wishes with the new Split Card Textures dies; with video!

Today I'm sharing another card featuring the Wisteria Wishes bundle.  I paired it with the Split Card Textures dies seen here:

I have to say that I think it's gorgeous!  The Split Card Textures dies are an easy & unique addition to your card projects.  There are two dies in this set; you can see them here.

My colors are Starry Sky, Old Olive and White.  I cut two sets of Wisteria with the Wisteria Dies and trimmed the smaller one a bit shorter. Then I sponged them with Starry Sky ink on the edges.  I adhered them together with bits of Stampin' Dimensionals for lift.

I stamped the greeting in Old Olive directly on the White CS and the leaves are stamped & die-cut.

I wanted a fuller bow so I split the Old Olive twill ribbon into two long pieces and tied together in a bow.

The photo below includes the measurements.

Below are all of the cards I made on the video.

  • Bamboo Beauty & the Ink Swipe Technique

I created this striking card for a swap I participated in with some of my Demonstrator leader friends.  I wanted to highlight the beautiful Bamboo Beauty stamp set.

I decided to create a bold background effect by swiping ink pads directly across my Basic White CS.  Each one turned out totally different!

I chose to use these colors from top to bottom – Pale Papaya, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo & Calypso Coral. Depending on how well inked your pads are you can get a variety of hues.  After I swiped the darker colors I used the Pale Papaya over it all to blend and soften the colors together.

My measurements for this card are as follows:

    • So Saffron card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4"
    • White (before swiping) 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
    • Black 3 5/8" X 4 7/8"

I hope you try this technique; it's so fun!  I shared this technique using glossy paper in a video a few years ago.  Here's a link to it.

  • Watercolor Shapes Fun Fold cards – FB Live Replay video

On my weekly FB Live I shared many ideas for the Watercolor Shapes stamp set.  The cards below are just one of the three card versions I shared.  Scroll down to catch the video.  Or click here to see it.

I offer frequent Creative Card Challenges for my Flowerbug's Team and this is the one we're currently working on:

Here's a closer view one card. I love how the solid images stamp with multiple hues of color without any effort!  It may look like my ink pad wasn't inked enough but this is on purpose. These Distinctive stamps are wonderful and provide a lot of dimension effortlessly!

Which do you prefer?  Pale Papaya or Fresh Freesia?

There are so many possibilities with this set; I just scratched the surface! Click here to see it in my store.
