Trusty Tools Latch fold card with free project sheet & video

January 9, 2024

On last week's Live video I created two fun fold cards featuring the Trusty Tools bundle and the Trusty Toolbox designer paper.

The Trusty Tools bundle is in the new Spring catalog and the Trusty Toolbox designer paper is in our Sale-a-Bration catalog. They're an incredible pair that is unique and perfect for handy guys or gals and coordinate together wonderfully!

This card is a latch card. Both flaps open but the Poppy Parade flap is 'caught' by the layered greeting element.

It's hard to explain how it works but the video I made shows how easy it is. It's all about where to place the Dimensionals to 'catch or latch' the card closed. I like my cards to stay mostly closed so I created this closure option.

Here's what the inside looks like:

My colors were chosen by the Trusty Toolbox designer paper – Black, Poppy Parade & White. This special designer paper can be earned free now during Sale-a-Bration with any $50 purchase through Stampin' Up!. See it here.

I suggest ordering the Trusty Toolbox bundle and then choose the designer paper as your free Sale-a-Bration choice. See the bundle here online.

A word of advice on choosing Sale-a-Bration items. If you want both a pack of designer paper and a stamp set and cannot afford to get both, choose the designer paper first. They usually run out of papers, dies & gems before they run out of stamp sets. Then choose the stamp set with your next purchase.

You can download the free project sheet for the Trusty Toolbox card here. Download Trusty Tools Latch-fold card

Below is a photo of both cards using this special latch fold. The card on the lower left is made with the Lighter Than Air designer paper in Lemon Lolly & Balmy Blue. It's one of the cards featured in my Lighter Than Air pre-cut kit to go seen here.

Who wants a Designer Paper Share from the Holiday Catalog?!

August 22, 2024

I'm offering a designer paper share from the upcoming Holiday Catalog again! These shares are super popular with so many of you; I glad to help you get a sample of these pretty papers.

Save

It includes a 6 X 6" sheet of each 10 packs of new paper – that's 68 sheets including specialty papers. A double share would include 6" X 12" pieces (except those that come in 6" size) it would be $53 plus $8 shipping.

I can take names and add you to the list. However I cannot accept payment until August 27th due to Stampin' Up!'s rules.

The earlier you opt in the better your chance is to get these soon. They can run out of stock on some and then I have to wait until they're available. I plan to place my order on September 3rd.

Message me here to opt in and how you'd like to pay. PayPal, Venmo, cash or check. *I can use a credit card but I'd need all of your information for that – address, phone number, card number, expiration date.

A neat way to show off your Designer Paper with this easy layout

August 21, 2024

Here's one more special card made with the Nests of Winter designer series paper. This paper can be seen in the 2024 Holiday catalog by Stampin' Up!

I shared this card in a recent video along with two other fun fold cards. Scroll down to see it.

The colors are Gray Granite & Cajun Craze. I thought the textured CS strip with twine wrapped around it was the perfect addition to this pretty scene. This folder is called Birch Wood. The greeting is from the Unbounded Love stamp set.

I like that you can really show off your Designer Paper as well as add texture with the strip of CS beside it. This would make a great card layout to mass produce!

I created a free project sheet you can download or print. Click on this link: Download Nests of Winter Sympathy card

A Pretty Nests of Winter Diagonal fold card from the upcoming Holiday catalog

August 20, 2024

Release of Close to My Heart products today!

If you didn't realize it, Stampin' Up! purchased product from Close to My Heart Earlier this year and have taken on any CTMH Makers that wanted to continue promoting stamping & scrapbooking products. In the future we will be offering a larger line of Scrapbooking products! This is great news for scrappers! Super Exciting!!

Before we get to today's project, I wanted you to be aware of some new products in the Online Store today. These items includes former Close to My Heart products that have only been available to CTMH customers until today. Know that these items will likely sell out fast as there isn't a large quantity of products.

See it all here.

And now for some stamping projects – I love everything about this card!

It features a brand new suite called Nests of Winter which is seen in the upcoming 2024 Holiday catalog. We made it at a team meeting a few months ago and I shared it and two other cards on last week's Live video.

The birds & branch are from the Nests of Winter designer paper, as well as the birch paper too. So pretty! My large circle is from the Spotlight on Nature dies which are currently unavailable (for the umpteenth time!).

It's almost a fun fold; it's basically a standard Pool Party card that has the front panel cut off on the diagonal. The designer paper starts out at 4" X 5 1/4" and is cut on the diagonal for 2 cards. Tip – make sure you cut it at the right angle – from bottom right to upper left. (I did it wrong and wasted a piece)

Here's the inside view:

This die-cut circle is from the Deckled Circle dies seen here. They're available only in the Online store right now.

Below is the video for other projects in this suite as well as sneak peaks of all of the upcoming 2024 Holiday Catalog designer papers!
