A special Trusty Tools Double-box fun fold card – free project sheet & video tutorial

We made this fabulous men's fun-fold card at my January Card Clubs; I also shared it on last week's Live video too.

It features Gray Granite, Crushed Curry, Poppy Parade & White plus a bit of our Holographic specialty paper for the wrench die-cut.  

This double box fun fold card can be positioned two ways – horizontal like this or vertical where the left box is the bottom. 

A few details:

  • All 3 die-cuts on the front are from the Trusty Tools bundle & die set.
  • The neat textured Gray Granite layer is Metal Place 3D embossing folder. 
  • The tool designer paper is the Trusty Toolbox 12" DSP – seen here.  It's free during Sale-a-Bration with any $50 purchase.  I'm actually surprised they haven't run out of it yet!!

  • January’s Card Kits to go; 1st is True Love black & white with pops of color!

    I was so happy when I saw the True Love designer paper in the new Spring Catalog.  I absolutely LOVE black & white prints in our papers!  I find it's the most versatile to use since you can add ANY COLOR you want to it and Black and White makes it POP!

    If you like to fussy cut or color you'll fall in love with this pretty paper. 

    Look at these pretty cards! And you can color the floral images with markers OR fussy cut them out to add beautiful detail to the cards.

    I created 5 cards; two of each design for a total of 10 cards. Three of the five designs are unique fun folds too. *see photo below

    You'll receive all pre-cut, punched & die-cut pieces, 1/2 package of True Love Designer paper (6" X 12"), black glittered ribbon, Black matte gems and a share of 2020-22 In Color enamel dots so you can finish these cards at home.

    I chose to use the Vine Design stamp set since it's full of a wide variety of greetings and the lovely vine and floral images too.  You can add on either the stamp set or bundle at an extra 10%!  It fits in the package and costs nothing extra in shipping costs.     I used Black, Real Red and Just Jade inks. Remember you'll stamp your own images.  

    How do my kits to go work?  

    • Once you pay you'll be on the list to receive the kit. They are shipped out at the end of the month.  
    • Then you'll receive the PDF instructions in an email; immediately upon payment. It includes photos, measurements (to make more!), a supplies list and step by step directions. 
    • You'll use my measurements to cut your new designer paper for each card. Don't worry; I keep the measurements easy! 
    • You'll use the instructions and the supplies in your kit to complete the cards.

    Details:

    • I also used a new and FREE Designer Paper called Paper Blooms here.  The colors are Seaside Spray with Navy & White.  I use this pretty color combo often. 
    • Can you tell it's a fun fold?  The Seaside Spray is 3" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".  I added texture with the Meadow Moments embossing folder.  The Navy layer is a quarter sheet 5 1/2" X 4 1/4". 
    • I punched a white Small Bloom punch and added a pearl to the center.  It's sponged for a bit of color.  
    • The main image is stamped and punched out with the Rectangular Postage Punch.

  • Corner Bouquet Triple Panel card & a tour of my studio & new catalog launch video

    Tuesday I held my new 2021 New Catalog Launch party and shared a virtual tour of my studio and Sale-a-Bration & Spring project displays.  I did have a little issue with a catch in my throat at the end but most of it's good.  Ha! 

    Below is a fun card showing you a way to use a large stamped image.  You can do it two different ways:

    Stamp first and then cut into three strips.  Or cut into strips, arrange together and stamp all at once.  This is what I did using my Stamparatus so I could re-stamp a few times for a nice dark image.  I've sure been using my Stamparatus a lot lately.  Do you have one?  It's so helpful!

    After I stamped the main image I let it dry a bit and then ran all three strips through the die-cutting machine to add texture.  I used a brand new 3D embossing folder called Painted Texture. 

    These colors are Purple Posy, Night of Navy & Coastal Cabana.  I was inspired to combine these colors by one of our designer paper packs in the Annual Catalog called Playing with Patterns. 

    The greeting is from the Enjoy the Moment stamp set in the new 2021 Spring Catalog.
