Triple Stack & Cut cards with free project sheet & video tutorial

I'm a bit addicted to this card layout!  I'm calling it the Triple Stack & Cut card.

You start out with three different patterns of designer paper measuring 3 3/4" X 5".  Stack them together and make the upper right cut – a triangle.  You could measure it but I just made sure my stack was even and sliced it off. It's approximately 3/4" from the upper left and 1" from the lower right.

Then for the remaining pieces you continue cutting all three pieces at once, cutting approximately in half on the diagonal and about 1" from the lower left.

You can now mix & match so one piece of each pattern can fit on each of 3 card fronts.  I adhered them to a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Berry Burst card stock.  That then adheres to your card base – I folded back my front to create a fun fold design.

Tip: Note that the patterned paper has a large print, a small print and one without pattern.  This can help your card appear soothing and less busy.

I shared how to do this on the video below.  In the video I used the Traditions of St. Nick designer paper; another Online Exclusive seen here.

I used the Christmas Classic bundle seen here with Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow & White card stock.

The Mossy Meadow leaves are from the Christmas Classics dies.  Here are the three cards I made:

  • So many fabulous Kit choices – Paper Pumpkin or those in the Kit Collection

One of my favorite product lines Stampin' Up! is excelling at is their kits. There are quite a few options but a favorite is Paper Pumpkin.  Each month we get a sneak peak of the coming kit. We all have an option of getting one each month or purchasing a pre-paid subscription.  I usually get a pre-paid during Sale-a-Bration so I earn free product at the same time.

We have until the 10th of each month to opt in for the coming kit. That's tomorrow! This month it's the Sunshine & Smiles kit; it coordinates with the Rain or Shine suite in the current Jan-June mini catalog.

They had offered a pair of die-cuts that match the stamps in this kit but they sold out.

Opt in here to subscribe to monthly kits – remember you have full control of which kits you receive. Skip a month or cancel.  Or choose a pre-paid subscription here. When you get a pre-paid for 3 months or more you can choose free Sale-a-Bration choices too!  At least through February 28th.

You might not realize Stampin' Up! has an entire collection of kits in the online store.  They call it the Kit Collection.

The photo above includes just some of the kits available!  See them all here.  These kits are all inclusive which means almost everything you need is included in the kit to complete them.

I recently made the cards in the Saying Thanks kit and LOVE how they turned out!

You can see this kit here.  It is a non-stamping kit with 9 cards & envelopes.  It's just $13 and would make a fabulous gift!  Everything comes in this kit; I believe all you need is a scissors.

Another new and exciting kit is the Wreath of Blooms kit.

Everything you need to make this kit is includes but they do recommend hot glue to adhere the flowers to the wreath.  It's about 8" around and costs $13. See it here.

You might also like to know that my favorite kits – the Birthday Organizer kit – is back and available again.  It was so popular they ran out.

This photo includes my 'jazzed up' cover and a few extra cards I made for a kit to go. I have sold out of this kit now but you can still get the original kit from Stampin' Up! here. The full kit includes the card organizer and 12 birthday cards & envelopes for just $25.

You can see it here.  It's another 'all inclusive' non-stamping kit that most people would love to organize their cards.

  • Around the Bend with the stunning Fine Shimmer paper

Here's another sample of the Around the Bend bundle. This time I featured the Dainty Flowers DSP from Sale-a-Bration and the Fine Shimmer specialty paper.

The Fine Shimmer specialty paper comes in three colors – two 12 X 12" sheet of each in Soft Succulent, Gold & Fresh Freesia. You can see it here.

I cut the curved layers and the leaves in the bundle from the Soft Succulent sheet.  Because this specialty paper is slightly thicker than most papers I added a shim of copy paper in my sandwich.  It helped a lot!

Below you can see this Around the Bend bundle.  I think the curves are totally unique from anything we've had before.  I evenlike the greetings!

You can choose from Photopolymer (clear) or Cling (red rubber) when ordering this stamp set or bundle.  There are several with this option in the 2023 Spring catalog. See it here.

I made a bunch of these for our January card swap with my Flowerbug's Team. We hold an optional swap each month with a variety of themes. This time was to use products from the Sale-a-Bration or 2023 Spring catalog.

You can see another pretty card here using this same bundle.

Below is the video where I made this card; it's the 2nd project.

  • A pretty Tri-Fold card with the Around the Bend bundle – video too

I created this pretty card for last week's FB Live video.  I featured 3 cards with the Around the Bend bundle.  This might be my favorite.

The colors include White, Soft Succulent & Petal Pink.  The Around the Bend bundle can be seen here.  It was one of my top picks from the Spring catalog.

Did you know there are a few stamp sets in the 2023 Jan-April Spring catalog that are available in either Photopolymer or Cling rubber?  You can choose which one you'd like!  Love this option.  I believe they are offering the choice to see what we prefer and if it's feasible to offer both.

Here's how it looks open.  I added a piece of Evening Evergreen under the die-cut front flap to show off the pretty, delicate dots & curve.  I trimmed the edge of this Evergreen layer with a paper snips.

    Here are the measurements:

    • White 5 ½” X 11” scored at 4 & 8”
    • Soft Succulent 5 ½” X 4 ¼”
    • Evening Evergreen 5 ½” X 2 ¾”

The flowers & leaves are also from this bundle.  I added the large flower & leaf layer with Dimensionals so it caught the upper flap, holding it closed.

Below is the video where I made this card; it's the third and last project.
