Petal Park Sneak Peak from the Spring Catalog
This week I've been sharing some of the cards I made for online swaps I joined. I hope you're enjoying the sneak peaks!
Today I'm sharing a card made with a new stamp & punch bundle called Petal Park. It includes a new flower trio punch from the Spring catalog.
I chose to use the new Regency Park 6 X 6" designer paper; that's where I got the color combination of Balmy Blue, Night of Navy and Mango Melody. I love them together!
Measurements:
The card base is 7 1/2" X 5 1/2". (I cut off 1" from a traditional 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base)
The designer paper is 1" X 5 1/4" on the inside right edge.
white panel is 2 3/4" X 3 3/4"
Navy is 3" X 4" and the Mango strip is 1" X 4".
The slanted die-cut greeting is from the Something Fancy dies
In the stamp set there are two sets of flowers – solid and outline. Plus two sets of leave images as well; outline and solid. I used both of the flower images, stamping them in Mango Melody & Balmy Blue. Then just the outline leaves for a lighter background. I did add some of the small dots in Mango all over the flowers & leaves.
I curled the petals after punching so they had a bit more dimension to them. I added pearls to the centers.
The greetings are from another new stamp set called Kind & Sincere. It has both large and small greetings so you can mix & match your words. I love this one!
I paired it with the new Sale-a-Bration paper called Dandy Designs. It's 12 X 12" and has 48 sheets. It's free with a $100 order during our Sale-a-Bration promotion; January 5th – February 28th.
When figuring out my card swap I came up with two different cards. The left card is simple but shows off the images and DSP. The card below on the right is a fun fold card.
The center panel on the right card above and the card below slides up and down; I call it a Vertical Slider card. It's not attached to anything but 'catches' on both sides of the center gatefold design with three circles or squares adhered to the back. It's so easy! Here's a linkto the video on how to make it.
I decided to fussy cut one carrot on each card and pop it up with Stampin' Dimensionals. It took a little time to do 22 of them, but worth it in my opinion.
Here's a photo of all 22 cards I made for my swap. I love the colors for the carrots – Mango Melody & Granny Apple Green – I think they're perfect for them.
You can earn this stamp set free during Sale-a-Bration – January 5th – February 28th. Any $50 order and it's yours! Stay tuned for more sneak peaks this week.
Below is a video tutorial with another version of the vertical slider card:
I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas weekend. We sure did. It was crazy busy trying to fit all of our annual activities into three days. But we did it! I sure love having my kids home for the holidays; we all look forward to it!
We have a few traditions; one is an appetizer show down. Each one of us makes an appetizer for Christmas eve and we vote on them. We vote on taste AND presentation. This year my granddaughter won with her Pizza Monkey Bread with marinara dipping sauce. I came in second with Spanakopita.
The other fun thing we do is play Minute to Win It games. We had a golf putting game, build the tallest snowman with marshmallows, Corn Hole, name the items in the stocking, moving mini marshmallows from one bow to another with a straw, filling a bowl with bows using a spatula blindfolded. It's always a blast. Funny story…. I always buy random presents for winners but totally forgot this year. And I won! Sheesh!

I shared this pretty card on last week's Facebook Live. I'm not sure what this fold is called though!
The center panel lifts up. It's 3 1/4" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". The center DSP is 3" X 4" and so is the inside white panel.
The flowers on the front White oval are fussy cut from the designer paper. This beautiful paper is free with a $50 order starting January 5th during Sale-a-Bration.
The greeting is from another Beautifully Happy stamp set; also a free choice during Sale-a-Bration. It's a big 17 piece Photopolymer set that's free with a $100 order from January 5th – February 28th.
Here's the video showing how to make this card and another snowflake version too:
