Simple fun fold card with Wildflower Designs with video & free project sheet

I shared two cards featuring the Wildflower Designs bundle in last week's video. Here's one of them:

Can you see the simple but different card layout here? The back of the card is a full 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" layer. The Lost Lagoon folded card is 8" X 5 1/4" scored at 4". So easy but unique too.

I wanted to use Pretty in Pink with a current color and chose Lost Lagoon to pair with it. I think they work beautifully together.

What do you think of the new Dashing Designs embossing folder? I love it!

Beautiful Monochromatic card swaps using designer series paper

These are the last few swaps for our June swap theme of 'using designer paper' on a card.

Annette created this one with the Earthen Elegance designer paper and Nature's Prints stamp set.

It's gorgeous in our new Pecan Pie color with Very Vanilla. There's just something about monochromatic cards!

Measurements:
- Pecan Pie card base 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" score at 4 1/4", layer is 2 3/4" X 4 1/4"
- Vanilla 2 1/2" X 4" and 4" X 5 1/4"
- Designer paper 2" X 5 1/4"
Next is Paula's card; it's a fun fold card featuring the Inked Botanicals designer paper. It's another monochromatic card! She folded back her front card base to show off the designer paper on the inside.

She used the Darling Details bundle for her greeting, flowers & leaves. The greeting die-cut is made with the new Nested Essentials dies.

Measurements:
- Lost Lagoon card base 8 1/2" X 5 1/2" score at 1 1/2" and 4 1/4"
- DSP left front 1" X 5 1/4", front fold (and inside front fold) is 1 1/4" X 5 1/4" and inside is 2" X 5 1/4"
- White inside is 2" X 5 1/4"

Designer Paper swap card ideas by my Team

I have more Team swaps to share with you today. Our theme for June was to feature designer series paper.

First up is a gorgeous card made by Ginny featuring the Masterfully Made DSP seen here.

She also used the coordinating bundle called Gorgeously Made seen here. Her colors include Night of Navy, Pretty Peacock, Bubble Bath and a bit of vellum. The greeting, leaves and torn notebook edge are all dies in this bundle.

Next is a pretty birthday card made by Sharon. She featured the Bright & Beautiful DSP seen here.

She also used the Gold Celebrations 12 X 12 specialty paper too. See the confetti gold acetone on the blue balloon? She also added a few dies and embossing folders as well. Natural Prints dies for the greeting and the Countryside Corners dies for the Misty Moonlight & Berry Burst die-cuts, the Basics 3D (online exclusive) and Cane Weave 3D folders

Neat Fun Fold swaps by my Flowerbug’s Team

Our Team gathering and swap was this past weekend and our theme was to use designer paper.

This first card was made by Marla and features the Countryside Inn DSP.

It looks like an ordinary gatefold card, but it's not! It latches closed with the heart & leaf punches on the right side!

Measurements are as follows:
- Card base 4 1/4" X 11" scored at 3" and 8 1/2"
- Designer paper is 2 3/4" X 4" on the left and 2 1/4" X 4" on the right. *same on the inside

It's hard to tell in the photo but the top right corner of the large, layered die-cut catches under the punched pieces on the upper right of the card base. So cool and smart! I love it when a fun fold card stays closed easily.

She featured the Countryside Inn designer paper seen here. If you love blues, you need this pretty paper! And it's on sale in June – down from $12.50 to $10.62 now.

She also added more of the pretty paper inside her card.

Next is a sweet card by Candy – (see what I did there?) She featured the Zoo Crew designer paper and Zany Zoo bundle. She colored each of those flowers with a Blends marker!

It's a 'book-binding' card fold. Start out with a 4 1/4" X 11" card base; score at 4 1/4" & 5 1/2". You'll adhere the 'binding' area down so the card opens at the 4 1/4" score line.

Her coloring is beautiful; I believe she used Blends markers.

The embossing folder is the Countryside Blossoms and the stitched circles and banner are from the Stylish Shapes dies.
