Fun & Unique Christmas tree from scraps!

Check out this amazing card Tracey made using scraps of Heartwarming Hugs Designer series paper!  

Tracey scrap tree Save

She cut 1/4" strips from her DSP and arranged them across a stamped & textured White card stock layer.  She used the Merry Melody 3D embossing folder seen here.  The stamped images are from Very Versailles.

  • Fabulous 1 sheet box for A2 cards with a free project sheet & video too!

    I shared the coolest box on last week's video. It is made from 1 sheet of designer paper! 

    Sunny Days cards & box Save

    It fits six A2 sized cards and envelopes inside. It's the perfect way to gift cards to someone. 

    I used the Sunny Days Sale-a-Bration paper for the box and the cards too.  Of course Sale-a-Bration is now over but hopefully you ordered this beautiful paper.  If not you can substitute any other designer paper.

    I created a free project sheet for this easy box and the cards too!  See it below. There's also a template for it but it will help you to watch the video too.  Click here to watch it. Be sure to follow me on YouTube here.

    Each of the cards are an easy fun fold layout.  I'll share measurements here too but they are included in the project sheet too.

    This first one is a fun version of a book-binding card fold. Just add one more piece of card stock and you have a whole new card layout! 

    Petal Pink cards Save

    Measurements: Petal Pink card 11" X 4 1/4" score at 2 1/8", 4 1/4" & 5 1/2". 2nd piece is 3 1/4" X 4", White inside 2" X 4". DSP – large panel is 3" X 4", left is 1" X 4" & right is 2" X 4"

    This next card has the designer paper as the card front; attached to the front flap. Love this and how you can see both sides of our pretty paper!

    Poppy Parade card Save

    Measurements: Poppy Parade card 5 1/4" X 5 1/2" score at 4 1/4". DSP – 1 piece at 3/4" X 5 1/2", 1 piece at 4" X 5 1/2". Petal Pink CS is 4" X 1"

    This is a great fold that uses the trimmed off card base as the front panel. Love this one!!

    See how I decorated my envelopes to match the cards!  This really elevates your projects and makes them extra special. 

    Measurements: Pool Party cards – 11" X 4 1/4" score at 5 1/2"; cut off one end at 2 3/4". DSP 1 piece at 2" X 4", 2nd piece at 4" X 3"

    Today I'm sharing a card I created for an online card swap. It features the new A Little Latte designer paper and a new stamp bundle called The Little Things. 

    Happy Little Things Save

    Details:

    • My colors include Lost Lagoon, Early Espresso, White & Pecan Pie.
    • The Little Things stamp set features a few larger words – outline & solid images plus many smaller greetings that fit the banner dies in the bundle. 
    • I stamped the coffee splatters background in Versamark ink
    • The coffee cups are fussy cut
    • Measurements: DSP is 4 1/2" X 2 1/4", Espresso layer 4 3/4" X 2 1/2", Pecan Pie strip 1 3/4" X 4 1/4", White greeting is 4 3/4" X 3/4" 

    There are a few sheets of the A Little Latte designer paper that feature cups of coffee.  I used both types on my cards below fussy cutting them.  I actually enjoy fussy cutting easy images out.

    The above photo shows the new Happy Little Things bundle – it has two new banner dies that coordinate with the smaller greetings in the set.  I was surprised at how easy it was to stamp the solid 'Celebrate' to match the outline image. Out of all of  my 16 cards I only had to stamp one over.
