Retro Circles layout with a quick video. So unique & versatile!

I hope you had a nice Christmas weekend!  We sure did.  It's one of my favorite times of the year; one time where all of my kids are home and we're all together.

Here's another card we made at my December card clubs.  It was such a hit on Facebook Live Stamp with Me that I had to do it at Club too.  It's a great way to show off your designer paper with this retro style.  Scroll down to see the video.

You just need three circles of different sizes.  I used the Stitched Shapes dies so they have the extra detail of stitches on the edges.  I use these dies so much!  If you don't have them I highly recommend them. See them here.

I used the Brightly Gleaming specialty DSP here and instead of the copper foiled side I used the other side which has Navy, Mossy Meadow & Island Indigo.

The stamped images are from the Itty Bitty Birthday & Lots to Celebrate stamp sets.  Just one ink color; Night of Navy.

Below are the cards we made on one of my Monday night Stamp with Me FB lives.  See that video here.

The above cards were made with various designer papers & stamp sets.  The top is Classic Christmas, left is Heartwarming Hugs and right is Snowflake Splendor.

Measurements:

  • Main card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
  • Neutral (White or Vanilla) is 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
  • Greeting strip is 1/2" X 5"
  • Circles are the largest three stitched circle dies 1 3/4", 2 3/8" & 2 7/8"

  • Gorgeous cards in the Enjoy the Moment card kit or tutorial

I knew I wanted to feature this pretty designer paper called Enjoy the Journey for a card kit to go but I wasn't sure quite how or where to start!

But once I decided to go with scenic and silhouette cards they came together wonderfully!  *this dsp is also available free with a $50 Stampin' Up! order through February.

I am thrilled with these cards; they're gorgeous!  I included quite a few fancy folds too.

The kit to go  includes 1/2 pkg. (6" X 12") of the Enjoy the Journey DSP, a share of both 3 twine combo and black matte dots, 10 envelopes, the pre-cut cards including die-cut & punched pieces and you'll receive the PDF tutorial free.

I also have the PDF tutorial only available if you do not want the pre-cut kit.  However the kit is the best deal; you receive $20 in product (before tax & shipping) plus the 10 pre-cut cards for just $28!

Opt in here for the card kit by February 19 to get it.  Or choose the PDF tutorial here instead.  This kit is mailed out at the end of February via Priority Mail.  The PDF tutorial will be send to you via email immediately after payment.

Add on the Happy Labels stamp set or bundle at an extra 10% off!  And if the total ($20 for the kit, $24 for the stamp set + more added) adds up to $50 or more you can choose a free Sale-a-Bration choice too.  Contact me here for this option.

*You will need the following to complete your cards:

    • Black ink and greeting images (I used Happy Labels)
    • a paper trimmer to cut your new DSP, adhesives, optional embossing folder

Add on any other kit in my shop and save on shipping.  I have a second beautiful, new kit available here with the Texture Chic cards & envelopes.  See all of my kits here.

  • Fabulous swaps by my Flowerbug’s Team using new Stampin’ Up! products

My Flowerbug's Team has optional swaps each month. This month we used new Spring or Sale-a-Bration catalog products.  You're going to love these cards!

Roxanne made this cool card using the 'Way to Grow' stamp set seen here.  I think it's a totally new style of images we haven't seen before by Stampin' Up!  She shows it off wonderfully!

She did do a bit of fussy cutting – the hair, shirt and pants.  Notice the shirt is stamped on Dandy Designs paper from the SAB catalog!  So cute!

Look at the card sample on page 38 of the Spring catalog; she cased the layout on the bottom.  This is a great reminder that we can use the catalog samples as inspiration.

Her colors are Coastal Cabana, Pear Pizzazz with Crumb Cake in the ribbon.  The Pear Pizzazz layer is textured with the Brick & Mortar 3D folder.

Next is a special card made by Annette.  She gives out calendar cards to her friends each year, so she made one for our swap participants too.  She orders these calendars online; there are several sites. Look on Amazon or Google for mini tear off calendars.

She featured the new Friendly Gnomes stamp set here.  Isn't the coloring and shading beautiful?  She used Blends markers to color and ink and blending brushed for the background.  The gnome is die-cut with the Gnomes dies – they carried over from the Holiday catalog through May 1st.

The designer paper is from the Dandy Designs pack – from our Sale-a-Bration catalog.  It's a big pack of 48 sheets; free with any $100 order from Stampin' Up!  See it here.

Next today is a cute Easter card made by Candy.  She used the Easter Bunny stamp set seen here.  It has a coordinating Easter Bunny punch too!

Her card is a fun fold – called a Book Binding card fold.  It starts out with a 4 1/4" X 11" card stock.  Score it at 4 1/4" and 5 1/2". The Dainty Flowers SAB DSP is 1 1/8" X 4".  The card stock layer is 4" square.

She stamped and colored the bunny; then fussy cut it to pop up on the Stylish Shapes & Layering Circles dies.  Her embossing folder is the Pretty Flowers folder in the annual catalog.  Other additions are the Brushed Brass butterflies and Navy bordered ribbon.

If you love to swap you'll love our Team swaps; consider joining our Flowerbug's Team! Or maybe you just want to be a part of a friendly stamping group!  It's a great time to choose the Starter Kit deal; details here or below.

  • A Mystery Card Floating technique with the pretty Dainty Flowers

Every few months we have a Mystery Card challenge with my Flowerbug's Team.  I put together packets of papers and elements and send them to those who opt in. They have a month to make a project using the supplies in their 'Mystery' packet and of course there are prizes too.

This month I featured papers from the Dainty Flowers designer paper from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  Here's my card:

I had multiple pieces of the designer paper, pieces of Mossy Meadow, a white and Mossy circle and the Rich Razzleberry card base.  They could use as many or as few of the elements that they wanted or add extras too.

Floating Technique: I cut one of my DSP layers into 1/2" strips and adhered them to a piece of window sheet.  Then I cut it out with a stitched circle die from the Stylish Shapes dies.

It's such a unique & unexpected element to a card.  I added some die-cuts from the Dainty Delight dies too.

    Measurements:

    • Rich Razzleberry card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • DSP 2" X 4 1/4", circle element is 2 1/2"
    • White layer 2 1/4" X 4 1/2"
