Retro Circles layout with a quick video. So unique & versatile!

I hope you had a nice Christmas weekend!  We sure did.  It's one of my favorite times of the year; one time where all of my kids are home and we're all together. 

Here's another card we made at my December card clubs.  It was such a hit on Facebook Live Stamp with Me that I had to do it at Club too.  It's a great way to show off your designer paper with this retro style.  Scroll down to see the video. 

Dec Retro Circles Club[1] Save

You just need three circles of different sizes.  I used the Stitched Shapes dies so they have the extra detail of stitches on the edges.  I use these dies so much!  If you don't have them I highly recommend them. See them here. 

I used the Brightly Gleaming specialty DSP here and instead of the copper foiled side I used the other side which has Navy, Mossy Meadow & Island Indigo.

The stamped images are from the Itty Bitty Birthday & Lots to Celebrate stamp sets.  Just one ink color; Night of Navy.

The above cards were made with various designer papers & stamp sets.  The top is Classic Christmas, left is Heartwarming Hugs and right is Snowflake Splendor. 

Measurements:

  • Main card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
  • Neutral (White or Vanilla) is 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
  • Greeting strip is 1/2" X 5" 
  • Circles are the largest three stitched circle dies 1 3/4", 2 3/8" & 2 7/8"

    Well I thought I'd play with purple, green & white for this pretty card.  

    Eden's Garden grape Save

    I stamped the images in Old Olive & Gorgeous Grape along one side of the card. Then I textured it with the Timeless Type 3D embossing folder.  Lastly I added a greeting on a Picture This die-cut. 

    Measurements: 

    • card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • White 3 3/4" X 5"
    • Old Olive 4" X 5 1/4"

    I love seeing what my Flowerbugs make for our monthly Team swaps.  Swaps are optional and fun for those who choose to join in.

    Today I'm sharing two cards; one birthday and one Christmas.

    First is Tammi's card made with the Biggest Wish stamp set & the Pattern Party designer paper.  If you're wondering where this paper is from it's a Hostess choice.  You can get it as part of your free products with an order over $150.  That's when hostess benefits kick in.

    She added a wrap of the Black glittered ribbon around her 4"X 5 1/4" card front which brings in the Black stamped images to coordinate.  Here DSP is 4" X 3".  

    Next up is Candy's pretty wreath card.  

    She used the Forever Fern stamp set to create a wreath stamping around a masked off circle in the center.  What a great way to use a stamp set that isn't even Christmas!

    I believe her colors are Real Red, Garden Green & Blackberry Bliss.  The greeting is from the Merriest Moments.  The corner accents are from the Detailed Trio punch. I love her itty bitty bow!

    Here are two more cards made by my talented Flowerbugs! Both used the Expressions in Ink suite. 

    Candace made this first one using a nice piece of the beautiful Expressions in Ink specialty DSP.  She stamped her greeting and leaves directly onto the DSP using Evening Evergreen ink.

    Then she stamped the large flower on a separate piece of White CS and die-cut it out using the Artistic Dies.  Lovely!

    Tracey made this one using just the Artistically Inked stamp set.  She stamped all of her images on the White CS and added that to a layer of textured White CS.  She used the Timber 3D embossing folder.

    You can see she added a bit of sponging to the embossed layer to really bring out the texture.
