Reflection Technique with Mountain Air

I honestly didn't know I'd enjoy creating with the Mountain Air bundle as much as I do. I didn't think it would be so easy to work with!

Even this reflection technique is simple to create. Do you know why? Because of the reversible nature of these stamps. The mountain image is textured on one side, creating the pretty mountain peaks on this card. The mountain shadow/reflection on the water is made with the same stamp but using the solid side.

Details for the card above:

I stamped the mountains first, then the trees underneath.
I turned the trees stamp upside down and without reinking, stamped them again for a reflection.
Next the mountain reflection.
Lastly I sponged a bit of light blue on the sky and darker blue for water.
The greetings are from the Well Written dies and Well Said stamp set.
Colors are Mossy Meadow, Pacific Point and Smoky Slate

Apple Harvest Fun Fold card

We made this sweet Apple Harvest card at my card clubs in September. I love the bright colors paired with Black!

The colors include Parakeet Party, Real Red and Black. As you can see I gave them a choice of apple images on the front. The left card above has the large apple bunch and the right card below has a pair of apples with blossoms. And inside the card is a single apple.

All were colored with Blends markers – Parakeet Party, Crumb Cake & Sweet Sorbet. I added a bit of color lifter on the large red apples to achieve a look of shine & reflection.

This card fold is super simple. Just add an extra score line to your Black card base.

- Black – 11" X 4 1/4" scored at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2"
- Parakeet Party 5" X 3 3/4", circle is 2 1/2"
- Cottage Gingham DSP 4" X 3"
- White 3/4" X 5" strip & 5 1/4" X 4" inside

The side pillars fold in toward the middle so it fits in a standard A2 size envelope.

My colors include Polished Pink, Parakeet Party, White & Black. The designer paper on the sides is our Black & White designs seen here.

I used our Blends markers to color the images – Polished Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Basic Gray & Parakeet Party.

See those neat confetti pieces? Those are actually 'windows' die-cut in the White CS so the Pink CS shows through. They're part of the Playful Piggy dies. Same with the grass, banner and pennants. The stars are punched with the Witch Hat punch.
