Ready to Ride card kit to go; it’s for both guys & gals!

I chose the Ready to Ride specialty designer paper for one of my April card kits to go; it has wonderful black foil designs on one side and fun prints on the other.  It even has a few flowers for the gals; it's not all about men here! 

These cards include multiple fun folds as I like to do; they add a fun element for both the creator and the recipient.   

Ready to Ride Save

There 2 each of 5 designs in this card kit.  There's a pre-cut kit to go option AND a PDF tutorial only option in my store here.  

The pre-cut kit to go includes 1/2 pkg. of the Ready to Ride specialty DSP (6" X 12"), a share of both Classic Matte dots and Baker's Twine Essentials pack.  The pre-cut card pieces, die-cuts and punched pieces are all included. 

Supplies needed:

  • Black ink & adhesives
  • a paper trimmer to cut your new DSP (using the measurements in the tutorial).
  • Greeting images – I used the Legendary Ride and Celebrating You stamp sets, but you can substitute any greeting images you already own.

The PDF tutorial is added on free and includes step by step directions, photos, measurements and a supply list.  It's $20 in product for just $28!  The tutorial is sent to you via email immediately after payment from my Shop here.  

The other option is my PDF tutorial seen here.  It's $15 and it's emailed to you immediately after payment.  

The neat thing about my kits and tutorials are that you get great ideas for creating; whether it's with this theme or others.

    I took the easy way out when I stamped my greetings.  Here are the steps for perfect stamping using the Stamparatus:

    1. I die-cut a bunch of the White labels (from the Hippo & Friends dies) first. 
    2. Then I placed the frame left over from die-cutting on my Stamparatus. 
    3. Lay your clean stamp on the label, positioning it in place. 
    4. Close the clear plate to 'grab' the stamp. 
    5. Ink the stamp and close the plate to stamp. 
    6. Repeat!

    Here's a pretty card with a soft & soothing color combination made for an online swap.

    The polka dot paper is from the Pattern Party host paper pack on page 171 of your catalog.  It's can only be earned with host benefits.  It's just one of the choices in the Host Rewards but my favorite by far.  It's 48 big sheets of 12 X 12" Designer Paper.  One side is colors & patterns and the other is Black & White.

  • Bamboo Beauty & the Ink Swipe Technique

    I created this striking card for a swap I participated in with some of my Demonstrator leader friends.  I wanted to highlight the beautiful Bamboo Beauty stamp set.

    I decided to create a bold background effect by swiping ink pads directly across my Basic White CS.  Each one turned out totally different!

    I chose to use these colors from top to bottom – Pale Papaya, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo & Calypso Coral. Depending on how well inked your pads are you can get a variety of hues.  After I swiped the darker colors I used the Pale Papaya over it all to blend and soften the colors together.

    My measurements for this card are as follows:

    • So Saffron card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4"
    • White (before swiping) 3 1/2" X 4 3/4" 
    • Black 3 5/8" X 4 7/8"

    I hope you try this technique; it's so fun!  I shared this technique using glossy paper in a video a few years ago.  Here's a link to it.
