Quick Framed Panel card; three ways!

For last week's Stamp with Me Facebook Live I chose to make framed panel cards.  There are likely many ways to frame a stamped panel but I chose to highlight three of them – Stamped, Textured and Designer Paper.  Look!

On these first two cards I stamped leaves on card stock using White Craft ink.  The colors above are the new 2020-22 In Colors in Just Jade and Misty Moonlight.  I used the Layered with Kindness (retiring!; see it here) and the brand new Forever Fern stamp sets.  The punch is Label Me Fancy seen here. 

Just look at the detail on the Distinktive images here on the Forever Fern stamp set.  I'm in the middle of creating a new Wonder template for 8 quick, beautiful cards using this stamp set.  I cannot wait to share it with you!  

Framed Panel Misty Moonlight Save

I do not have the new Misty Moonlight ink yet so I used Night of Navy, stamped off once.  It's close!

Measurements:

  • Card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
  • long pieces are 1" X 4 1/4"
  • short pieces are 1" X 3"
  • stamped panel is 1 3/4" X 3"
  • Navy layer is 1 7/8" X 3 1/8" 

This next card is the new Cinnamon Cider with Bermuda Bay.  I also used the new Forever Fern stamp set here.  The butterflies are from Butterfly Wishes set.

The next card is Seaside Spray with Night of Navy and features the Layered with Kindness and Butterfly Wishes. which coordinated with our Butterfly Duet punch. The Ornate Floral embossing folder is new and in the upcoming Annual catalog but it's available now.

Lastly is one made with Garden Lane designer series paper (on sale right now) in Garden Green & Mint Macaron.

  • Fabulous Gone Fishing bundle swap cards

    Father's Day is coming up Sunday and the Gone Fishing bundle is perfect for the occasion.  

    I received two swap cards on the cruise and thought you'd like to see them.  First is my friend Susie Wood's card.  Her style is similar to mine and we often share cards with each other. My husband and I spent time with her and her husband Deke on the cruise; not enough but we both treasure our friendship so much!   • Marvelous Nature Ombre technique with video tutorial

    Today I'm sharing the other card I made during Tuesday's video.  Both featured the new set called Marvelous Nature.

    I used an ombre technique where I inked the solid stamped image with three inks consecutively.  The top is Pool Party, the middle is Lost Lagoon and the bottom is Pretty Peacock.

    The greeting is from the set but I did use the Stylish Shapes dies for it and popped it up on Dimensionals.

    The card base is Lost Lagoon with two strips of Pretty Peacock under the main image.  As you can see by the photo below the left card is lighter than the right one.  In the video I went over the upper part of the image one more time using the Stamparatus; mostly so I could get a more solid, complete image.

  • Pretty Marvelous Nature card with video tutorial & measurements

    I've seen a few projects with the Marvelous Nature set and was intrigued by it's reverse images. And it's nature so I ordered it.  This card was one of two I made on this week's Live video:

    I chose to use Lost Lagoon with Pretty Peacock. I also added some of the Hello, Irresistible designer paper. This pretty DSP is on sale right now too!  See it here.  

    You may also spy the shimmery strip beside the greeting.  This is our Soft Shimmer 12" X 12" paper pack seen here.  It has 5 rich colors in it.
