Quadrangle Cards Technique; a great use of your 6 X 6″ Designer Paper!

Check out this great template where you cut a 6 X 6" piece of Designer Paper into 4 pieces for 4 cards. I also layered it with a 6 1/2" piece of card stock for easy borders! Look!

I created the above cards with a sheet of the beautiful Plaid Tidings 6" DSP from the 2020 Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog. I also used the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle and the two Daisy punches in the annual catalog. Super easy cards!

The colors are Mango Melody, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White.

Then I used a different sheet of the Plaid Tidings DSP on Facebook Live last week. I LOVE Black & White with a pop of color so I added Magenta Madness and used the Zany Zebras stamp set seen here.

Aren't they fun?! I wasn't sure if I wanted to add any pink to the zebras but I ended up loving it! I colored just a bit on the zebras with the Magenta Madness Blends marker.

Next you'll see how you can place the DSP pieces onto a piece of 6 1/2" square piece of card stock and get nice layers.

Tip: If you have trouble measuring things I suggest that once you have a template for both the Designer Paper and the layered card stock piece you save one to reuse over and over again.

Here’s a pretty card I shared during last week’s video. It features many new upcoming products!

I also used a new stamp set called Delicate Framing. The greeting is stamped on a new set of dies called Creative Haven dies and that’s layered on a die from Branching Out.

I love the leaf die-cuts in the Creative Haven dies! They’re just my style.

Here it is fully opened: The Mossy Meadow layer is scored & folded to add another opportunity for adding our pretty designer papers.

On last week’s video I shared a bunch of new, upcoming products and this card is a favorite!

Can you spy some of the new products here? There are 4 of them…..

I’ll help you out…. One is the stamp & die bundle of course; it’s called Friendly Foliage. The other is the designer paper called Brushed with Beauty. Next is that pretty embossing folder called Pretty Patterns of course! Lastly is the gems.

I changed up the card above to use the other coordinating die in this bundle. It cuts out the center of the foliage.

Sneak Peek of new products with a sketch for inspiration

On last week’s video I shared three cards featuring a new designer paper coming out in November. It’s called Brushed with Beauty.

My colors include Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow & Calypso Coral. The stamp & dies bundle is called Words of Beauty and is part of the Brushed with Beauty suite. Demonstrators (& new team members) are able to order it early but you can see and order these new products on November 4th. They’re part of our Online Exclusives – new products released every other month.

This layout was inspired by a sketch. Every month my Flowerbug’s have a creative challenge involving sketches or a color combo. This will be our November sketch inspiration. Sketches are a fabulous start to creating a card or scrapbook page. And they’re just an inspiration. As you can see I did not use a circle but the die from the Label Me Grateful dies seen here. I also flipped the center rectangle on it’s side.

The Words of Beauty bundle will be a great option for greeting phrases. It includes two large sets of dies with the words ‘just’ and ‘because’ and then plenty of words to create your greeting. Plus the die I used with the word ‘because’ below is one of three in the package.

You’ll notice the new packaging in the photo below. All new stamps & dies will be in these envelopes. Also all new stamps will be clear photopolymer and not red rubber.
