Pleased as Punch Cards kit to go; bright and springy!

For February I chose to feature the new Pleased as Punch designer paper for my cards kit to go.  It's bright and springy and coordinates with 4 of our newest punches!  The Tulip, Umbrella, Heart Punch pack and new Blossom punches are the four.

I absolutely love these cards! All of the 5 designs are unique fun fold cards which are always a delight to create and fun for the recipient.  Here's a photo of the Pleased as Punch designer paper; available now!  

*You do not need to own the punches to complete these cards.  They are easy to fussy cut!

I used the following inks: Gorgeous Grape, Balmy Blue and Calypso Coral.

I added the Under My Umbrella bundle for most of my images and greetings.  It has wonderful greetings that coordinate perfectly with the umbrella images.

The cards kit to go includes the following:

• Springtime Scenes card with video & free project sheet

  I shared this card last week with a video and a free project sheet. Think of using any designer paper you own. It’s a great layout!

  I chose the Easter Joy Specialty paper inspired me with the color theme. Shy Shamrock with Balmy Blue & White. Unusual but it sure works!

  It’s a simple ‘fold back’ fun fold where you add one extra score line at 2 3/4″ to this 11″ X 4 1/4″ card base. Of course it’s scored in half at 5 1/2″ as well. I cut the Balmy Blue layer to perfectly layer onto the inside White. It gives the illusion of multiple layers.

  That pretty die-cut leaf is from the Pleasant Patterns specialty paper seen here. For my stamps & the leaf die I used the Springtime Scenes bundle seen here. I love this set with the neat dies and stamps.

• Get inspired by a sketch with this sweet Splash of Sparkles card

  Each month I give my Flowerbug’s a creative challenge and they can participate if they’d like. This month it was a sketch:

  You can find card sketches like this all over Pinterest or other online sites. I think they’re a wonderful and easy way to create a card. Remember that sketches are a starting point; they don’t have to be exact or even that similar. They’re a great way to be inspired.

  I chose the Splash of Sparkles specialty designer paper for mine. See it here.

  My colors include Bubble Bath, Timid Tiger, Gold & White; all inspired by the beautiful designer paper. Who would have thought to combine these colors together? But the DSP is the magic that makes it work.

  I used a few different products here:

  • The greeting and die-cut are from the Lovely Arrangements bundle.
  • notice the new daisy embossing folder? That is the new Lazy Daisy 3D embossing folder found here. It is currently out of stock, but add your email on the product page to be informed when it’s back.
  • And that pretty Bubble Bath 1/8″ ribbon is wonderful and easy to work with. See it here.
  • The gold foil layer is the Textured Metallic paper seen here.
