Petal Park Sneak Peak from the Spring Catalog

This week I've been sharing some of the cards I made for online swaps I joined.  I hope you're enjoying the sneak peaks! 

Today I'm sharing a card made with a new stamp & punch bundle called Petal Park.  It includes a new flower trio punch from the Spring catalog.

I chose to use the new Regency Park 6 X 6" designer paper; that's where I got the color combination of Balmy Blue, Night of Navy and Mango Melody.  I love them together!  

Measurements:

  • The card base is 7 1/2" X 5 1/2".  (I cut off 1" from a traditional 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base)
  • The designer paper is 1" X 5 1/4" on the inside right edge.  
  • white panel is 2 3/4" X 3 3/4"
  • Navy is 3" X 4" and the Mango strip is 1" X 4".  
  • The slanted die-cut greeting is from the Something Fancy dies

In the stamp set there are two sets of flowers – solid and outline.  Plus two sets of leave images as well; outline and solid.  I used both of the flower images, stamping them in Mango Melody & Balmy Blue.  Then just the outline leaves for a lighter background.  I did add some of the small dots in Mango all over the flowers & leaves.

I curled the petals after punching so they had a bit more dimension to them.  I added pearls to the centers.  

The greetings are from another new stamp set called Kind & Sincere.  It has both large and small greetings so you can mix & match your words.  I love this one!

  • New: Vine Design Dutch Door fold card

    I made several cards for online swaps featuring products in the upcoming 2021 Spring & Sale-a-Bration catalog.  This pretty fun fold card was one of them.  I gravitate towards anything with leaves or vines so I knew I'd like this set called Vine Design.  

    Vine Design Olive Save

    The colors here are Night of Navy, Seaside Spray & Old Olive with White. I used my Stamparatus for the vine image; it's so perfect for multiple cards!  Perfect inking and placement each time. 

    See that greeting & layered ovals?  We have a new   DOUBLE OVAL PUNCH!!!  I'm so excited about this one.  I've missed out oval punches so much and now both are in one!

    Supplies:

    • Stamps – Vine  Design (2021 Spring Catalog)
    • Ink – Old Olive, Navy, Seaside Spray
    • CS -  Old Olive, Navy, Seaside Spray, Whisper White
    • Other – Double Oval Punch, Detailed Trio Punch, Well Suited Twine combo pack, Rhinestones, dimensionals, Mini glue dots

    • Night of Navy 2 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"
    • Whisper White 3 7/8" X 2 3/4", inside is 2" X 3 3/4"
    • Seaside Spray 4 1/8" X 3"

  • Retro Circles layout with a quick video. So unique & versatile!

    I hope you had a nice Christmas weekend!  We sure did.  It's one of my favorite times of the year; one time where all of my kids are home and we're all together. 

    Here's another card we made at my December card clubs.  It was such a hit on Facebook Live Stamp with Me that I had to do it at Club too.  It's a great way to show off your designer paper with this retro style.  Scroll down to see the video. 

    Dec Retro Circles Club[1] Save

    You just need three circles of different sizes.  I used the Stitched Shapes dies so they have the extra detail of stitches on the edges.  I use these dies so much!  If you don't have them I highly recommend them. See them here. 

    I used the Brightly Gleaming specialty DSP here and instead of the copper foiled side I used the other side which has Navy, Mossy Meadow & Island Indigo.

    The stamped images are from the Itty Bitty Birthday & Lots to Celebrate stamp sets.  Just one ink color; Night of Navy.

    Dec Retro Circles Club[1] Save

    The above cards were made with various designer papers & stamp sets.  The top is Classic Christmas, left is Heartwarming Hugs and right is Snowflake Splendor. 

    Measurements:

    • Main card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • Neutral (White or Vanilla) is 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
    • Greeting strip is 1/2" X 5" 
    • Circles are the largest three stitched circle dies 1 3/4", 2 3/8" & 2 7/8"

  • Let it Snow?! Are you having a White Christmas?

    Merry Christmas everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your Holiday today and that you are able to spend time with some of your favorite people. This year is so unusual and difficult for many who are isolated.  I wish you the best and thank you for your support this past year.  

    We did just get snow this week; very unusual for us in North Dakota!  So it's a white Christmas after all.  

    Here are two of my favorite wintery cards featuring my Life is Beautiful stamp set.

    Snowman Save

    The card above is Seaside Spray with Black & White.  The stamp set is Snowman Season in the Annual Catalog. 

    Snowflake Splendor card Save

    This card is made with the Snowflake Splendor designer paper.  Ink colors are black, Balmy Blue & Highland Heather. The DSP is retiring in a week or so and it's on sale here. 

    Snowman Save

    This card is very similar to the one above only made with Early Espresso & Balmy Blue.
