The last of my 10 amazing card ideas for Paper Strips!

Today I'm sharing the last of the 10 cards I made on my Facebook Live video. If you aren't following me on Facebook yet click here. I host a video each Tuesday morning at 11 am CT and twice a month on Monday evenings as well.

I had a bunch of paper strips leftover from cutting out for cards and kits and created some fun & unique cards with them. We're calling them 'Stripper Cards'!

Here's a favorite I made with 3/4" X 3 3/4" strips of Bermuda Bay, Pool Party & Pumpkin Pie.

I started out with a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of White CS. Starting at the bottom I added a strip and alternated colors and directions each time. I focused on keeping the tips at the same area and left the excess 'wide' end hang over the edge.

I had to leave enough space to stamp the greeting (You Are Amazing set seen here) so I stopped about 1 1/2" up. The last piece may need to be trimmed before you add that skinny little edge strip. A few Holiday rhinestones finish it off.

On my video (scroll down) I used Real Red with the Pool Party & Bermuda Bay. Which do you prefer?

This is another of my favorites! So easy and just plain fun!

I cut random lengths of 1/4" strips and adhered them to a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Black card stock. The greeting is from the Sweet Ice Cream set stamped on a 1" X 4 3/4" strip of White CS. Add this and trim the ends off before you add it to the main Coastal Cabana card base.

Here are both versions; which do you prefer?

Here’s a pretty card I shared during last week’s video. It features many new upcoming products!

I also used a new stamp set called Delicate Framing. The greeting is stamped on a new set of dies called Creative Haven dies and that’s layered on a die from Branching Out.

I love the leaf die-cuts in the Creative Haven dies! They’re just my style.

Here it is fully opened: The Mossy Meadow layer is scored & folded to add another opportunity for adding our pretty designer papers.

On last week’s video I shared a bunch of new, upcoming products and this card is a favorite!

Can you spy some of the new products here? There are 4 of them…..

I’ll help you out…. One is the stamp & die bundle of course; it’s called Friendly Foliage. The other is the designer paper called Brushed with Beauty. Next is that pretty embossing folder called Pretty Patterns of course! Lastly is the gems.

I changed up the card above to use the other coordinating die in this bundle. It cuts out the center of the foliage.

Sneak Peek of new products with a sketch for inspiration

On last week’s video I shared three cards featuring a new designer paper coming out in November. It’s called Brushed with Beauty.

My colors include Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow & Calypso Coral. The stamp & dies bundle is called Words of Beauty and is part of the Brushed with Beauty suite. Demonstrators (& new team members) are able to order it early but you can see and order these new products on November 4th. They’re part of our Online Exclusives – new products released every other month.

This layout was inspired by a sketch. Every month my Flowerbug’s have a creative challenge involving sketches or a color combo. This will be our November sketch inspiration. Sketches are a fabulous start to creating a card or scrapbook page. And they’re just an inspiration. As you can see I did not use a circle but the die from the Label Me Grateful dies seen here. I also flipped the center rectangle on it’s side.

The Words of Beauty bundle will be a great option for greeting phrases. It includes two large sets of dies with the words ‘just’ and ‘because’ and then plenty of words to create your greeting. Plus the die I used with the word ‘because’ below is one of three in the package.

You’ll notice the new packaging in the photo below. All new stamps & dies will be in these envelopes. Also all new stamps will be clear photopolymer and not red rubber.
