Origami Christmas Tree card; soooo easy!

I make one of these trees almost every year.  Why? Because they are easy & fun and we always have new Designer Paper for me to play with.

All you need are four squares of DSP. No scoring or other measurements.  Watch the video here or below to see how it's done.

Here are the supplies:

  • Card stock – Old Olive & Mossy Meadow card bases, Real Red & Cherry Cobbler layers, White greeting strip & inside
  • Designer Paper – Heartwarming Hugs (out of stock now) and Sweet Stockings
  • Greeting image from the Christmas Cheer stamp set
  • Star topper from the Starlit punch
  • Embossing folder – Evergreen Forest (out of stock temporarily)

Measurements:

  • Card base 5 ½” X 8 ½”
  • DSP – 4 square pieces at 1 ¼”, 1 ¾”, 2 ¼” & 2 ¾”
  • Textured front & White inside are 4” X 5 ¼”

Below is the video for you. I share another special card project and some pretty star/snowflake ornaments as well.

  • An easy fun fold card with a gift card option video & free project sheet too!

I shared two fun fold cards on last week's Live video; both featuring the cute Year to Celebrate stamp set.

We made these striking, colorful cards at my December card clubs. The Year to Celebrate stamp set has lots of fun images and pairing it with the Melon Mambo & Granny Apple Green foil paper is a sure hit!

Both are on the Last Chance List and available while supplies last.  And they're discounted!!  *See the Year to Celebrate set here; it's now just $11.40 and was $19.

Here's the inside of the New Year's card.  I added another textured strip of the foil paper and a piece of the Brights 6" DSP as well. Keep reading to get to the project sheet with measurements.

    Products used:

    • Melon Mambo & Granny Apple Green foil paper seen here.
    • The greetings are from the Heartfelt Hexagon set seen here.
    • The cupcake image is from the Circle Celebration set.
    • Deckled Circle dies seen here
    • Cheery Patterns embossing folder duo (discounted) seen here.

Below is the inside of the birthday card; I adhered the inside left flap at the top and bottom only to leave a pocket for a gift card.

  • Year to Celebrate Explosion card with free project sheet & video

I made this cute card during last week's Live video. It looks like a simple card front the front but there's a surprise inside!

I used the cute Year to Celebrate stamp set in the retiring 2023 Holiday catalog. This set is reduced from $19 to $11.40 while supplies last.  See it online here.

It's great for a celebratory card like birthday's, promotions, achievements and New Years.

Here's the view of the inside:

It's an explosion card that you can add some annoying sprinkles and punched pieces in. That's the biggest surprise!

It also features the Melon Mambo & Granny Apple Green foil that's on the Last chance list and has a reduced price.  See it here.

I create a free project sheet for most of my Live video projects.  Below is a snapshot of the project sheet you can see on this link:  Download Year to Celebrate Explosion card

I shared two cards featuring this stamp set in this video; both are fun fold cards!  I'll share the other card tomorrow.  Click here or on the photo below to watch the video:

  • How to use leftover pieces to create projects

I'm sure you have a few piles of extra die-cuts, greetings or stamped images leftover from other projects right?  I seem to have lots! I give bunches of these to my friend Joanne in AZ as she loves to use them to remake cards to benefit the needy.

I had a few extra Santa hat die-cuts left from this project.

It's made with the Sending Cheer bundle. I shared this diamond flap card on a video here.  Unfortunately the dies are sold out but the stamp set is hugely discounted right now; see it here. It was $24 and is now $14.40.

I had enough die-cuts and other elements left to create a few more cards; here's one:

The layout is quite similar but it's not a fun fold card. Simple but cute! I used Poppy Parade for this card base. The colorful designer paper is the Merry, Bold & Bright but it's also sold out now.  Our Last Chance sale from the Holiday catalog is really reducing our options!

Here's a different card layout using similar pieces:

I had a leftover textured layer that was perfect for the Santa element. It's the Christmas Tidings embossing folder – discounted on the Last Chance sale and seen here.

Easy-peasy and two more Christmas cards made.
