October comes with TWO Stampin’ Up! specials!

Stampin' Up! has two new October specials

First is our Kit Collection sale:

Save up to 30% on kits!  I honestly love our kits. They're a nice change of pace for us seasoned stampers – no thinking!  See them all here.

Other reasons to consider getting a kit:

  1. No thinking, planning or other product needed. They're all inclusive for quick creating!
  2. They're perfect for gift ideas. Some are super easy with no stamping and others are more involved.  You choose!
  3. Have one or two on hand for friends or kids to make. No prep for you!
  4. If you're wanting to get a friend or two to start stamping with you, kits are the way to go.

I'll highlight a few of my favorites tomorrow.

The top 10 reasons to purchase the Starter Kit right now are….

  • Bamboo Beauty & the Ink Swipe Technique

I created this striking card for a swap I participated in with some of my Demonstrator leader friends.  I wanted to highlight the beautiful Bamboo Beauty stamp set.

I decided to create a bold background effect by swiping ink pads directly across my Basic White CS.  Each one turned out totally different!

I chose to use these colors from top to bottom – Pale Papaya, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo & Calypso Coral. Depending on how well inked your pads are you can get a variety of hues.  After I swiped the darker colors I used the Pale Papaya over it all to blend and soften the colors together.

My measurements for this card are as follows:

    • So Saffron card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4"
    • White (before swiping) 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
    • Black 3 5/8" X 4 7/8"

I hope you try this technique; it's so fun!  I shared this technique using glossy paper in a video a few years ago.  Here's a link to it.

I love the bright color combination of Magenta Madness with Granny Apple Green.

  • Watercolor Shapes Fun Fold cards – FB Live Replay video

On my weekly FB Live I shared many ideas for the Watercolor Shapes stamp set.  The cards below are just one of the three card versions I shared.  Scroll down to catch the video.  Or click here to see it.

I offer frequent Creative Card Challenges for my Flowerbug's Team and this is the one we're currently working on:

Here's a closer view one card. I love how the solid images stamp with multiple hues of color without any effort!  It may look like my ink pad wasn't inked enough but this is on purpose. These Distinctive stamps are wonderful and provide a lot of dimension effortlessly!

Which do you prefer?  Pale Papaya or Fresh Freesia?

There are so many possibilities with this set; I just scratched the surface! Click here to see it in my store.
