New Artfully Layered stamp set with Plenty of Pattern masks; embossed grid technique & video

Here's a card made in my series featuring the Plenty of Pattern masks from a recent FB Live seen here.  I think it's super neat!

I explain how it's done in the video here.  Basically I laid the mask over my card stock and repeatedly pressed my Versamark ink pad directly over it.  Then I heat embossed with Clear embossing powder & my heat tool. I love this effect!

The greeting is from the Artfully Layered stamp set in the upcoming 2022 Jan-June catalog.  It will be in a bundle with the Tropical Layer dies at 10% off.

After I created the embossed grid background layer I used a scalloped stitched rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly dies to die-cut a piece from the center.  Then I adhered the outside piece to my Black layer and added the center piece on Stampin' Dimensionals. I wanted the Black to show a bit behind it.

The oval die-cut for the greeting is from the Beautiful Layers dies; also from the upcoming new catalog. Adding a 1/2" Black strip brings the Black outer layer forward a bit.

Below is the video with this project & lots more!

  • Bamboo Beauty & the Ink Swipe Technique

I created this striking card for a swap I participated in with some of my Demonstrator leader friends.  I wanted to highlight the beautiful Bamboo Beauty stamp set.

I decided to create a bold background effect by swiping ink pads directly across my Basic White CS.  Each one turned out totally different!

I chose to use these colors from top to bottom – Pale Papaya, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo & Calypso Coral. Depending on how well inked your pads are you can get a variety of hues.  After I swiped the darker colors I used the Pale Papaya over it all to blend and soften the colors together.

My measurements for this card are as follows:

    • So Saffron card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4"
    • White (before swiping) 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
    • Black 3 5/8" X 4 7/8"

I hope you try this technique; it's so fun!  I shared this technique using glossy paper in a video a few years ago.  Here's a link to it.

  • Watercolor Shapes Fun Fold cards – FB Live Replay video

On my weekly FB Live I shared many ideas for the Watercolor Shapes stamp set.  The cards below are just one of the three card versions I shared.  Scroll down to catch the video.  Or click here to see it.

I offer frequent Creative Card Challenges for my Flowerbug's Team and this is the one we're currently working on:

Here's a closer view one card. I love how the solid images stamp with multiple hues of color without any effort!  It may look like my ink pad wasn't inked enough but this is on purpose. These Distinctive stamps are wonderful and provide a lot of dimension effortlessly!

Which do you prefer?  Pale Papaya or Fresh Freesia?

There are so many possibilities with this set; I just scratched the surface! Click here to see it in my store.
