Need a new Stampin’ Up! Catalog? Plus an accordion fun fold card with video & free project sheet!

It's an exciting time for those who love Stampin' Up! products….. the new 2023-24 Annual Catalog can be seen online tomorrow (Wednesday) by current Demonstrators.

We get to see the newest 2023-25 In Colors, which current colors are leaving, which colors are filling in our color lines (it usually includes some returning In Colors and some brand new colors)!

Wednesday I'll be announcing which colors are leaving along with the retiring list of the current/retiring Annual catalog products so you stay informed.  Remember that these retiring items are while supplies last.  Do NOT WAIT to order.  I have many people who are disappointed that they missed ordering items they really, really wanted.

*If you do not have a current Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and want a new Annual Catalog let me know by Thursday, March 30th.  They are free to my current customers (those who've ordered from me within the past 6 months) or just $5 for me to send you one.  You can pay via PayPal or Venmo.

The last Monday of each month I have a 'Stamp with Me' Live on my Facebook page here.  A day or so before the Live I share the project we're making so those who want to stamp along with me can do so.  Others can watch and create later.

After the video I provide a post where everyone who makes the project can share their version.  All who do are entered in a drawing for a free prize from me.  Click here to see all of the Floating Panel cards from February's Live.

This month I chose another fun fold card – an accordion card that really shows off both sides of your Designer Paper!

I used the Awash in Beauty designer paper seen here.  I also used the True Beauty bundle as well. See it here.

The greeting tag is a die-cut from the Tailor Made Tags seen here.  The ovals are from the Framed Florets dies seen here.

I created a free project sheet for this card too. Download Accordion DSP card project; March 2023

Here are the measurements:

  • DSP 5 1/4" X 11 3/4" – score at 1 3/4", 4 3/4" and 7 3/4".
  • Card base 4 1/4" X 5 1/2"
  • inside stamped layer 2" X 5 1/4"

I added an inside White layer to stamp and sign on. I used Melon Mambo & Old Olive markers to ink the flower bud image before I stamped and die-cut it.

  • Control Freak’s Blog Hop; Favorite Colors theme!

    Welcome to the January Blog Hop from our talented Control Freaks group!  Our theme this month is to use our favorite Stampin' Up! color and make it monochromatic!

    If you just stopped in from Wendy's blog I'm sure you enjoyed her projects. She is super creative!

    I haven't joined a blog hop in awhile and I've missed it!  This color theme was perfect for me as my Flowerbug's Team swapped monochromatic cards last week.  I've been sharing them here all week long.

    My first card features a new stamp set called Crane of Fortune.

    I chose to feature Misty Moonlight with Night of Navy & White.  The Crane of Fortune stamp set is new in our Stampin' Up! January-June catalog.  It's a Distinktive stamp set which means you get multiple hues of color with one inking.  These are my favorite type of stamps.  Look how pretty the images are in one color and so easy too!

    After I stamped the crane I textured it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.

    This card is a very simple fun fold.  Here are the measurements:

    • Score your 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4"
    • Misty Moonlight layer 1 7/8" X 5 1/4"
    • White layers are 3 1/4" X 4 1/2"
    • Navy layer is 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"

    I stamped some of the dragonflies on the front layer of Misty Moonlight.  I used White Craft ink for a soft, subtle effect.  As you can see I made quite a few of them for our Team swap!

    Next is a pretty card in Soft Succulent & White.

    I used the new Artfully Layered stamp set along with the Stitched Rectangle dies.  This technique is called Triple Time Stamping.

    To achieve this layered effect I stamped all three of the White layers at the same time. Then you adhere each piece to a Soft Succulent layer and put the pieces back together; almost like a puzzle.  It's a great way to create quick, eye catching cards.

    Measurements:

    • Soft Succulent – 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" card base, 4 1/8" X 2 7/8" & 3" X 1 5/8"
    • White – 5 1/4" X 4", 4" X 2 5/8" & 2 3/4" X 1 3/8"

  • Blessings of Home card ideas; beautiful layouts

    This week I'm sharing Monochromatic cards made by my Flowerbug's Team members.  It was our swap theme this month.

    It was a challenge for some but their cards were incredible as usual! Both cards today feature the Blessings of Home bundle; seen here.

    This first card was created by Marilyn.  Her colors include Misty Moonlight, Night of Navy & White.

    She used the large flower image to create a background using Misty Moonlight ink for a pretty tone on tone look.  She stamped the flower again on a piece of White CS and used the dies to cut it out. You cannot see in the photo but she added Wink of Stella to the flower.

    It's adhered over a pretty Encircled in Beauty Navy die-cut.

    This next card was created by Tracey using the same Blessings of Home bundle.

    She used 3 different designer papers here – Heart & Home, Hand-Penned & the In Color 6 X 6" prints. I love how our colors & products coordinate so effortlessly.  Our color coordination is what brought me to Stampin' Up! and keeps me happy to stay.

    Details:

    • She stamped her flower image in Basic Gray ink and colored it in with Blends markers. It's fussy cut with the coordinating die-cut.
    • She heat embossed her greeting with White embossing powder onto Designer Paper.  What a gorgeous card and a neat layout.
    • The White CS behind the flower is textured with our new Gingham embossing folder seen here

  • 3 unique Honeybee Home card ideas

    This week I'm featuring cards made by my talented Flowerbug's Team. Today both cards showcase the Honeybee Home bundle seen here.

    This first card was made by Candace.  She is a master at coloring & sponging as you can see.

    She stamped & die-cut the floral image multiple times for a pretty bouquet and adhered them to her beautiful sponged background.  The gorgeous sky background is done with Pacific Point ink and a very light hand at sponging. She colored the flowers with watercolor pencils.

    You can see this pretty bundle here online.

    ~~~
    Next is a totally different card made by Annette for our Monochromatic swap this month.
    She stamped the bee and greeting in Crumb Cake ink onto a Stitched Rectangle die-cut.  Then added a few die-cuts from the Honeybee Blooms dies and layered it on a Crumb Cake layer. Simply beautiful!
    ~~~

    Mary made this next card with this same bundle along with the Heart & Home designer paper.

    She used 3 layers of this pretty paper as a background for her dies & greeting.  Great idea!

    Her colors are Pale Papaya & Garden Green. The White greeting tag is one of my favorite 'go to' punches called the Tailored Tag punch.

    Measurements:

    • White card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • Pale Papaya 3 3/4" X 5"
    • DSP layers 1 1/2" X 3 1/2"
