Neat fun fold card with a Blends/embossing technique with Fields in Bloom; video & free project sheet too!

I really love the card I'm sharing with you today.  In addition to it being a unique fun fold there are so many great details!

I used the Fields in Bloom & Everyday Greetings stamp sets which are both wonderful. But what makes this card so special is the technique and the fun fold. 

There is a second folded card under the window; inside the main card base.  For the window, I used the Everyday Details dies seen here.  They are in the online store now but were in last year's catalog. It creates a perfect window for the hill of flowers scene.

I stamped the flowers and leaves images in Versamark and heat embossed them in White.  Then I used Blends markers to color the embossed flowers & leaves. This is such a fun technique and super easy too.  I love that I can get these two large images colored in multiple colors this way. Please watch the video here to see how it's done.

My colors include Lemon Lolly, Shaded Spruce and a bit of Petunia Pop. Here's a shot of the window & fun fold aspect of this card.

  • Pretty Marvelous Nature card with video tutorial & measurements

    I've seen a few projects with the Marvelous Nature set and was intrigued by it's reverse images. And it's nature so I ordered it.  This card was one of two I made on this week's Live video:

    I chose to use Lost Lagoon with Pretty Peacock. I also added some of the Hello, Irresistible designer paper. This pretty DSP is on sale right now too!  See it here.  

    You may also spy the shimmery strip beside the greeting.  This is our Soft Shimmer 12" X 12" paper pack seen here.  It has 5 rich colors in it.

    The Marvelous Nature stamp set (seen here) includes two beautiful images and three greetings.  I kept my card very simple to show off the pretty fern image.

  • Colorful Inked Botanicals card kit or PDF tutorial option; available now

    The Inked Botanicals designer paper is a favorite of my customers so I chose it as one of my June card kits.  The color combinations and botanical prints are pretty and quite colorful too. 

    Here are the cards I came up with:

    This 10 card kit features the Inked Botanicals 6 X 6" designer paper by Stampin' Up!  There are 5 designs and you'll make 2 of each.

  • Gorgeously Made & Delightfully Eclectic swaps

    I thought I'd share a few swaps I received on the Norway incentive trip. 

    This first card was made by Alanna Wharf. It features the Gorgeously Made bundle seen here.

    This card put me over the edge; now I have to get this bundle!  

    She used the Masterfully Made 12" designer paper seen here (sale price now at $10.62) and the Soft Shimmer 12" combo pack on the leaf die-cut.

    Here's a close-up of this specialty paper and the Exposed Brick 3D embossing folder.  I love the simplicity of this card; it really shows off the die-cut, pretty DSP & texture.
