Inlaid technique video with Mountain View!

This gorgeous card was one of our January Card Club projects. Of course I love the colors of Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green and Pretty Peacock.

I cased the idea from Cheryl Miller at Sense of Whimsy.

Here's how to make this pretty card.

First die-cut two trees from the main White panel one on the upper left and one on the lower right.
I sponged one of these die-cut white trees with Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple ink for the center tree.
Then die-cut two more trees from the Lily Impressions designer paper (free with a $50 order during Sale-a-Bration).
Adhere the White panel to the Coastal Cabana panel and then to the main Green card base.
Insert the two die-cut trees into the left and right die-cut areas for an inlaid effect. (I recommend Fine Tip glue or Multipurpose adhesive)
There's a trick to getting this unique greeting shape with the Tailored Tag punch. I share it on the video below.
I used the Sending you Thoughts stamp set and heat embossed the greeting.

Two-Tone Flora cards; get two cards with one technique!

I shared a bunch of projects featuring the Two-Tone Flora bundle seen here on last week's FB Live video.

I hadn't played with it at all and couldn't stop once I started! Here are two cards that may look similar at first, but look closely….

The card on the left has the large, sponged & colored die-cut on the front. But the card on the right is the colored layer underneath the other. So cool! I show how this is done with the small Blending Brushes in the video here.

I used three colors for these cards – Daffodil Delight, Mint Macaron and Calypso Coral. It also features Very Vanilla which I don't use often enough. I found the small blending brushed worked really well for the detailed areas on the die-cut. You can see these brushes here.

Here are both cards with the actual colored die-cut piece on the front.

I accented it with the Sentimental Park, Stylish Shapes and Amazing Thanks dies. Also a few Brushed Brass Butterflies finished the garden feel of these cards.

Below are the cards that show off the area under the sponged die-cut. The colorful sponging reveals the die-cut detail on the Vanilla but the flowers and leaf areas are colored. I love this 2 for 1 technique! I'm sure you have some dies you could use like this too.

The dies above include the Painted Label and Circle Collection dies; along with the Two-Tone Floral dies for the leaf.

I enjoy using two-step stamp sets for the wonderful details and hues of color you can achieve.

Beautifully Happy; a perfect set for some quick cards

I needed a bunch of thank you cards for online orders and quickly made this set of cards:

The pretty Beautifully Happy stamp set (Sale-a-Bration and free with a $100 order) is so easy to work with! It has outline images AND coordinating 'fill in' images that make it super simple to add color where you want it. And they're Distinktive images too! This means they give multiple hues of color tones with one stamping. And I love the greetings too.

I used the Good Things cards & envelopes for these cards. They were available last month for Paper Pumpkin subscribers, but they're sold out now. I love using coordinating products! I added a 3" X 5 1/2" piece of Design a Daydream Host DSP to each card. I think the lattice look works wonderfully with this flower image.
