More fun fold cards!

Each day this week I'm sharing many of the Fun Fold card swaps made by my talented Flowerbug's Team. They are amazing!

First is Candace's pretty Double Triangle card:

This card is so fun to make and to receive! You can find all kinds of tutorials for this fold. Here's a video I made for it:

The best thing about this card fold is how perfectly it uses both your card stock and designer paper without waste! And it makes 2 cards at the same time!

Start out with a full 8 1/2" X 11" piece of card stock. Score it down the center both ways; at 5 1/2" and 4 1/4". Then cut in half on the diagonal like this:

Now cut two pieces of designer paper measuring 4" X 5 1/4" in half. Use double sided paper for the best use; two for each card.

Candace used the retiring Peaceful Poppies designer paper seen here, the Painted Label dies and the Peaceful Moments bundle. I love that splash of designer paper inside the card!

The Olive card base is 4 1/4" X 8 3/4" scored at 5 1/2"
The Terracotta Tile layer is 4" X 3"
Designer paper is 3 7/8" X 2 7/8"
The Olive stitched rectangle is 3 1/2" X 2 1/4"
The Terracotta Tile die-cut is from the Ornate Frames dies
The White daisy layer is 1 1/8" X 2 1/2", the White inside is 4" X 5 1/5"
Stamps are from the Ornate Style & Ornate Thanks stamp sets

Paula made this striking fun fold card using the Peaceful Poppies designer paper and the Painted Poppies bundle.

Poppy Parade main card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8"
Striped DSP is 1 7/8" X 5 1/4"

White strips are 2" X 4"

Happy Valentine’s Day! A Sweet Treat Pouch; easy gift!

Here's a super neat way to give a treat to a friend. My friend Marilyn made these for her club gals this month. Many of my gals like to make something special for their fellow club members when they are hostess. I love seeing their creativity!

Isn't it cute? It's made from our clear envelopes! I think it's super clever. She found the idea online and changed it up so it opens at the bottom; no need to destroy the pretty topper to get to your treat!

The card stock and From My Heart designer paper are 'inside' the envelope. You can adhere your candies with mini glue dots to stay in place.

Watch the Facebook Live video replay below. I made one adding a nice big cookie. I placed the cookie in another clear envelope and inserted it into the outer one. I just checked it and it's still soft a few weeks later!

Details:
- Clear envelopes – get 50 in a package for $6. See them here
- Card stock topper is 3 1/2" X 5" scored at 2 1/2". Rounded with the Detailed Trio punch
- From My Heart DSP topper is 1 1/2" X 4 3/4", bottom two corners are rounded
- Card stock inside the envelope is 4 1/4" square
- Designer Series Paper inside the envelope is 4" square
- Be sure to have the opening at the bottom for easy access to your treat!
- Stamps are from Little Ladybug, Heartfelt, Butterfly Gala, Stitched So Sweetly
- I stamped directly on the punched heart above; it's punched from the From My Heart Specialty Designer paper!

Newest 5 sheet wonder with Positive Thoughts

I knew the Positive Thoughts stamp set would be perfect for a one sheet wonder but it's even better with my 5 Sheet Wonder!

What is a 5 sheet wonder? See the templates above the cards here? Those are the 5 pre-measured templates you use for the layers on each of the cards. Absolutely no measuring here; just cut on the printed lines! My husband and I have created multiple 'wonders' with printed layers to make card making easy. See them all here.

The neutral 'one sheet wonder' template is what you stamp on, creating your own patterned paper. First you'll print the template on it then flip it over to stamp on. The other 4 templates are colored 'layers' for your cards. Cut on the printed lines for perfect layers!

I'm offering this class locally and as a kit to go or just the pdf tutorial for anyone else who cannot attend.

Local class is Tuesday, February 25th at 6 pm. Cost is $20 and includes the 10 cards with envelopes and the pdf tutorial. RSVP by Feb 23rd.

Pleased as Punch; another fun fold card with optional pocket

I am loving the spring-like Pleased as Punch designer paper; it's available now while supplies last! See it here. I highly suspect this paper will run out before the end of March. I have no inside information but it's happened before and if you really want it; don't wait! click here to get yours.

I knew I wanted to make the focus of this card a square shape so I could add four pieces of the Designer Paper on the front with the greeting on top. So I had to figure out a way for the side to be separate. I rarely make square cards so this was my compromise.

I adhered the side flap to the card base just at the outside edges to form a pocket. This is for either money or a gift card.

Details:
- Front greeting is Seriously the Best stamp set. I cut apart the 'Hello Friend' greeting so I could ink it up separately.
- Inside stamps and front flowers are from the Thoughtful Blooms set; free during our Sale-a-Bration promotion.
- Flower punch is the Small Bloom punch; free during Sale-a-Bration.
- Front stitched die-cut is from the Stitched So Sweetly dies
Measurements:
- Mango Melody card base – 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". I cut up to the score line at 1 1/4" on the outside edge. The extra piece is textured with the Coastal Weave embossing folder. It measures 7/8" X 4"
- White – 4" square
- Balmy Blue 1" X 5"
