More fun fold cards!

Each day this week I'm sharing many of the Fun Fold card swaps made by my talented Flowerbug's Team.  They are amazing! 

First is Candace's pretty Double Triangle card:

This card is so fun to make and to receive! You can find all kinds of tutorials for this fold.  Here's a video I made for it: 

The best thing about this card fold is how perfectly it uses both your card stock and designer paper without waste!  And it makes 2 cards at the same time!

Start out with a full 8 1/2" X 11" piece of card stock.  Score it down the center both ways; at 5 1/2" and 4 1/4".  Then cut in half on the diagonal like this:

Now cut two pieces of designer paper measuring 4" X 5 1/4" in half.  Use double sided paper for the best use; two for each card.

Candace used the retiring Peaceful Poppies designer paper seen here, the Painted Label dies and the Peaceful Moments bundle.  I love that splash of designer paper inside the card!

Marilyn made this beautiful card with the Ornate Garden suite of products seen here; an early release from the upcoming Annual Catalog.  

  • The Olive card base is 4 1/4" X 8 3/4" scored at 5 1/2"
  • The Terracotta Tile layer is 4" X 3"
  • Designer paper is 3 7/8" X 2 7/8"
  • The Olive stitched rectangle is 3 1/2" X 2 1/4" 
  • The Terracotta Tile die-cut is from the Ornate Frames dies
  • The White daisy layer is 1 1/8" X 2 1/2", the White inside is 4" X 5 1/5"
  • Stamps are from the Ornate Style & Ornate Thanks stamp sets 

Paula made this striking fun fold card using the Peaceful Poppies designer paper and the Painted Poppies bundle.

This Peaceful Poppies designer paper is retiring and is on the Last Chance list now while supplies last here.  I'm so glad the Painted Poppies bundle will be returning in the new Annual catalog! 

Measurements:

  • Poppy Parade main card 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" and 6 3/8"
  • Striped DSP is 1 7/8" X 5 1/4"
  • Poppies DSP is 1 3/4 X 3 3/4"
  • White strips are 2" X 4"

  • Festive Cheer meets Spotlight on Nature dies; free project sheet with video

    Here’s the other card I shared on last week’s video:

    My colors include Golden Glow, Garden Green with Cherry Cobbler. I trimmed off a bit from a standard card to show off the checked DSP on the right side. This is the Creative Celebrations mix DSP seen here.

    It features the Festive Cheer stamp set seen here and the Spotlight on Nature dies seen here. This set of dies includes multiple sizes of circles with stitched and textured edges. It’s fabulous!

    Note the textured Garden Green layer on the front. This is our Two-toned card stock that comes in every color! After running it through the Rustic Check embossing folder I used a new sanding block to show off the texture even more.

  • Festive Cheer Christmas card

    I love this fun fold card! Two step stamping is one of my favorite types of stamps.

    I chose to use Cherry Cobbler, Peaceful Pine & Golden Glow as my color combination. The Designer Paper is the In Color gingham DSP seen here.

    The Festive Cheer bundle is filled with two-step ornaments and great holiday greetings. And the dies coordinate wonderfully! See this bundle here.

    It’s a unique fun fold in that the greeting tab on the left holds it closed. There’s a third score line on the right side of the card that will bend as it opens.

  • Poetic Petals in a soft color combination

    If you like soft and subtle colors here’s a pretty color combination using two of our newest In Colors – Barely Blush with Crisp Cantaloupe.

    The color combination is inspired by the beautiful Bloom Boutique specialty designer series paper seen here. It has bit of gold foil and includes all of our newest In Colors.

    The unique Poetic Petals bundle seen here is what I used for the dies and greetings. Note the textured background and ribbon knot!

    It’s the Softly Woven 3D embossing folder seen here. It’s temporarily out of stock but should be back in a week or so. To achieve this ribbon knot simply tie one color of ribbon around the other and trim the ends. Add with a mini glue dot.
    The greeting tag is not current; it was among my stash of die-cuts and seemed to fit perfectly here.

    I shared the left card above yesterday. I used the basic layout but changed the cards for one landscape and one vertical. As you can see the Bloom Boutique specialty DSP includes pretty color combinations of our newest In Colors. Love it!
