Men’s cards kit to go with the Well Suited suite.

I decided to offer card kits for both men and women this month.  With Mother's and Father's day coming up it's nice to have cards for the special people in our lives.

Today I'm highlighting the 10 men's cards showcasing the Well Suited designer paper; many of which are fun folds. Look!

Many of us find men's cards more challenging to make.  But these sure came together easily!  I chose a few layouts and fun fold cards and walla; done!

I always create a full PDF tutorial for these kits that includes photos, step by step directions, measurements and a supplies list. Choose that option or the Kit to Go which includes the free tutorial. #BestDeal

You'll receive the following in this kit to go:

  • 1/2 pkg. Well Suited Designer Paper (6" X 12")
  • 2 colors of twine
  • Black Matte dots
  • free PDF tutorial (photos, measurements, supplies and step by step directions)

I used the Handsomely Suited stamp set for the greetings but you can easily substitute any stamps you already own.  However if you want to purchase it, here's a link to the stamp set & here's the link to the bundle.  Or add it to your kit at an additional 10% off!

Remember the kit offer ends after April 19th!  You have a few options with these cards:

  • Choose the PDF tutorial only here $15
  • Choose the 10 cards pre-cut kit with tutorial $28 (plus $8 shipping) here.
  • Add on the Well Suited bundle with the card kit/PDF and save an extra 10% off!  Email me at lagreff60@gmail.com for this option.
  • I am also offering a second kit in April; the Hydrangea Hill cards.  See that here.  More on that tomorrow.
  • Choose both April card kits to go here.

You'll receive the PDF instructions in an email immediately after payment.  The actual kit will be mailed to you Priority Mail at the end of April (barring any back-orders).

  • Plentiful Plants Cards

    I took some time to play with the new Plentiful Plants bundle last week and came up with these cards:

    Can you believe that both the brick, the pots and leaves are all cut from the designer paper?  I did stamp the plant on the left but the others are all die-cut from the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP. I love when Stampin' Up! gives us paper and dies that coordinate.

    The bottom Soft Succulent CS is made with the Stitched Leaves die; one of my new favorites!  See it here.

    ~~~
    This next card also features the Bloom Where You're Planted DSP.
    Each of the three plants & pots are from the DSP except for the bowl in the center.  That is a die-cut made from Cinnamon Cider CS.  I placed them on a die-cut from the Hippo & Friends dies.  I sponged the bottom with Cinnamon Cider ink.
    This card is 4 1/4" X 11" and scored at 1 1/4" and 6 3/4".  The right flap is glued down and has a 1" X 4" Soft Succulent strip adhered to it.  It was textured with the Macrame 3D embossing folder seen here.
    You can see this suite here.
  • Bright Color Combo card with the new Watercolor Shapes set
    I have lots of creative challenges for my Flowerbug's Team and this time it was a color challenge featuring Night of Navy, Magenta Madness & Granny Apple Green.  Fun, vibrant colors I knew would be fun to play with.
    I cut off an inch from the right edge of my Navy card and added a strip of Granny Apple Green DSP on the inside edge.
    I chose to use a stamp set that I hadn't used yet; Watercolor Shapes seen here.
    I stamped the watercolor shapes all over the 3 1/4" X 4 1/2" White CS but I did stamp off first for a lighter hue.  The greeting stands out more then.
    I found a 'hello' greeting in each of the following stamp sets; Blossoms in Bloom, Create with Friends, Timeless Tropical, Sweet as a Peach, Artistically Inked & Sweet Strawberry.  I had no idea we had that many 'hello's' in our sets!
    What do you think of this color combination?
    I stamped a few of these images twice and fussy cut them so I could add some dimension to the card front.  I also added the new In Color Square Gems and a few of the Clear Epoxy Essentials that I colored Granny Apple Green with a Blends marker.
  • Inked Embossing Folder technique; it’s SO pretty!
    I decided to play with an old favorite technique where you add ink directly onto an embossing folder 'before' you run it through the die-cutting machine.  I shared how on the FB Live video here.
    This first card features the Polished Pink CS & ink.
    I used two new products in our 2021-22 Annual Catalog; the Pretty Embossing folder and the Create with Friends stamp set seen here.  That pretty die-cut label is from the Potted Succulents dies seen here.
    This Pretty Embossing folder seen here is my free giveaway for online orders over $50 this month (before tax & shipping) using the host code seen below.
    I made one in each of our newest In Colors; Evening Evergreen, Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and the Polished Pink.
    I shared a video with other techniques using the Pretty Embossing folder my FB Live here.  Or click on the photo/link below.
    I cannot stop playing with these fabulous new In Colors.  They are my absolute favorite grouping for many years!  And that ribbon!!! See the entire new 2021-23 In color line here.
    Measurements:
    • White card base 4 1/4" X 11" scored at 5 1/2"
    • Evening Evergreen CS 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
    *Below is the video to see how to do this and get my tips on being successful.
