Masterful Monochromatic Floral Swap cards by my Flowerbugs

Today is the last of the pretty monochromatic cards my Flowerbug's gals made for our January swap. The theme was a challenge for some but others found it easy. Have you made a monochromatic card before? If not try it!

This first card was made by Tracey using the Meadow dies in Blushing Bride & White.

There are so many beautiful details!

All of these flowers, butterfly & greeting dies are from the Meadow dies seen here. They're cut from White, Bushing Bride & Vellum CS
The texture is from the Bark 3D embossing folder seen here.
She sponged on one of the die-cuts and the textured piece too.
The greeting is heat embossed using White embossing powder

Next is a card made by Ginny using the Color & Contour bundle seen here. She chose to use the In Color Pale Papaya.

The designer paper is from our 6 X 6" In Color assorted DSP pack seen here. Did you know we have patterned paper in each of our Stampin' Up! colors! I love how easy it is to coordinate our products with our color line. It just makes me happy!

Next is a card Candace made using the new Sale-a-Bration free bundle called Friendly Hello seen here.

Here are the details:

Her colors are Blushing Bride & Flirty Flamingo. She stamped her flowers on both the greeting circle and the Blushing Bride card base.
She used the Basic Border dies to trim off the front edge for a stitched detail.
The striped DSP is on the inside of the card. It's from the Host Pattern Party DSP
She textured the larger circle with the new Gingham embossing folder.
The ribbon is our new Frayed White ribbon in the Jan-June catalog.

Beautiful Traditions of Christmas kit to go or tutorial; reserve yours soon

One of my October kits to go & tutorials features the gorgeous Traditions of Christmas designer paper. Each card is a fun fold too!

I love the floral and traditional patterns in this pack of specialty paper. It has gold foil accents and a wonderful variety of colors.

I finished the Handmade & Heartfelt kit; it’s so cool!

I played with this fun kit yesterday and made 13 cards! This neat card kit is discounted through today only. It would make a fabulous gift or enjoy it for yourself. see it here

It’s a 10 card kit with envelopes, a stamp set, a storage box, ink spot and more. I added a few extra card bases and got an extra 3 cards from it.

See the lower right card? I used the template from the lower left card to sponge Secret Sea ink through the holes to create the starburst pattern. When I did this I did it on the back side so I could still use it on the ‘thanks’ card.

Below are a few more cards I changed up from the original plan. It’s so fun to do this. Even though it’s a pre-planned card kit I love adding my own spin on them.

Artistic Leaves with Gathering Together with an easy card sketch plan

Here’s the second card I shared on last week’s video. I wanted to feature a card sketch my Flowerbug’s are currently using.

Besides the Artistic Leaves stamp set I also used the Gathering Moments bundle and the Gathering Together specialty designer paper with this sketch:

You might wonder what a sketch is… It’s a layout of boxes or shapes to indicate where you might add layers such as card stock, designer paper, punches or die-cuts.

My colors include Basic Beige, Cajun Craze, Gold and Vanilla.

Here’s the sketch if you want to save it for an idea. I truly believe card sketches are a fabulous way to get inspiration when creating. Remember that a sketch is just the beginning; you can change it up in any way depending on what products you’re using.
