Let it Snow?! Are you having a White Christmas?

Merry Christmas everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your Holiday today and that you are able to spend time with some of your favorite people. This year is so unusual and difficult for many who are isolated.  I wish you the best and thank you for your support this past year.  

We did just get snow this week; very unusual for us in North Dakota!  So it's a white Christmas after all.  

Here are two of my favorite wintery cards featuring my Life is Beautiful stamp set.

Snowman Save

The card above is Seaside Spray with Black & White.  The stamp set is Snowman Season in the Annual Catalog. 

Snowflake Splendor card Save

This card is made with the Snowflake Splendor designer paper.  Ink colors are black, Balmy Blue & Highland Heather. The DSP is retiring in a week or so and it's on sale here. 

Snowman Save

This card is very similar to the one above only made with Early Espresso & Balmy Blue.

  • Quick yet beautiful cards with the True Love Designer paper & video

    Sometimes you can let the designer paper do all of the work.  Look at this classy, beautiful card I made with the True Love Designer Paper!

    TRUE LOVE 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER Save

    I heat embossed the greeting and punched the end with our new Treasured Tags Pick a Punch.

    I used Daffodil Delight Blends marker to color in the flowers; coloring mainly on the printed lines on the flowers. Granny Apple Green for the leaves. Simple & quick! 

    I also made two more striking cards with this paper and the Pretty Perennials bundle. You can watch the Live video below.

    • Card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2"
    • Designer Paper 3" X 4"
    • Black layer 3 1/4" X 4 1/4", greeting strip is 1/2" X 3 3/4"

  • Easiest Shaker card you’ll ever make!

    Giving an interactive card makes the card extra special like shakers, spinners or fun folds.  But they can be time consuming or a lot of work.  

    Touch of Ink shaker Save

    I used the free 'A Touch of Ink' stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.  You can see it here.  That background was made with our Blending Brushes and Bermuda Bay & Calypso Coral ink.

    A TOUCH OF INK PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET (ENGLISH) Save

    This type of shaker card is truly easy; really!  Besides the stamped element you need three basic things:

    1.  A clear envelope
    2. Strong adhesive
    3. Sequins, beads or tiny punched pieces

    Insert your stamped card stock into the clear envelope, fold the excess envelope over to the back and seal with adhesive leaving one end open.  Add your fun filler and seal closed.

    The pretty sequins in this card are the Woven Threads sequins in the annual catalog on page 157.

    I made a video in December on making one of these shaker cards.  Even though it's a Christmas card it's the same technique. Here it is:

    I used both the dies and the stamp set on my front panels.  I also stamped the greeting on the inside layer on the bottom left card.

    Measurements:
    Main card 4 1/4" X 7 1/2" scored at 5 1/2" *save the extra piece for the front layer ( 3 1/2" X 2 3/4"
    White 4" X 5 1/4", 3 1/4" X 2 1/2"
    DSP 1 3/4” X 4”.
     
    The neat thing about this card is that you can use what you cut off of the main card as your layer on the front flap.  Love that!
