In the Country with a split scene technique

They've updated the Clearance Rack with more products!  Including stamp sets!  But beware that many are in French.  Be sure you get English if you want it. See it all here.

I made this pretty card using the In the Country stamp set from our Sale-a-Bration promotion.  It's called a Triptych layout. It's a great way to showcase a detailed stamp set.

I stamped the image in Black Memento ink using the Stamparatus and colored the image in with our Watercolor Pencils.

One thing I always use with our Watercolor Pencils is the Blender pen.  It smooths out all of your penciled lines so easily. See it here.

The card base is Coastal Cabana and I added a Black layer and a simple Black strip across and under it. Simple but it sure shows off the pretty scene.

You can see the In the Country stamp set here; it's free with any $50 purchase.

  • Bamboo Beauty & the Ink Swipe Technique

I created this striking card for a swap I participated in with some of my Demonstrator leader friends.  I wanted to highlight the beautiful Bamboo Beauty stamp set.

I decided to create a bold background effect by swiping ink pads directly across my Basic White CS.  Each one turned out totally different!

I chose to use these colors from top to bottom – Pale Papaya, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo & Calypso Coral. Depending on how well inked your pads are you can get a variety of hues.  After I swiped the darker colors I used the Pale Papaya over it all to blend and soften the colors together.

My measurements for this card are as follows:

    • So Saffron card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4"
    • White (before swiping) 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
    • Black 3 5/8" X 4 7/8"

I hope you try this technique; it's so fun!  I shared this technique using glossy paper in a video a few years ago.  Here's a link to it.

  • Watercolor Shapes Fun Fold cards – FB Live Replay video

On my weekly FB Live I shared many ideas for the Watercolor Shapes stamp set.  The cards below are just one of the three card versions I shared.  Scroll down to catch the video.  Or click here to see it.

I offer frequent Creative Card Challenges for my Flowerbug's Team and this is the one we're currently working on:

Here's a closer view one card. I love how the solid images stamp with multiple hues of color without any effort!  It may look like my ink pad wasn't inked enough but this is on purpose. These Distinctive stamps are wonderful and provide a lot of dimension effortlessly!

Which do you prefer?  Pale Papaya or Fresh Freesia?

There are so many possibilities with this set; I just scratched the surface! Click here to see it in my store.
