How to achieve the Inked Block Technique; you only need 3 things!

I shared the Inked Block technique on Tuesday's Facebook Live video. It's fun, easy and you need just 3 things!

I chose to feature the Garden Wishes stamp set & a variety of colors. This first one is Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape & Pacific Point.

You need a clear block, Stampin' Write markers and a spritzer filled with water. Below are the measurements for the cards.

Tips for success:

Use Stampin' Write 'water based' markers on your block; do not use Blends which are permanent markers.
Start with the lightest color first so you don't get a dark color on your marker tip
After filling up the block with ink (I colored on the diagonal) spritz it with water until dots form.
The more water you add the better the inks blend. But don't do too much or the colors blend too much.
Press the block directly on your White card stock and hold for a few second.
Have a tissue or paper towel ready to dab up excess water off the paper.

The Stampin' Write markers I used on this next card are Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point.

The card below has a softer feel. The colors are Pale Papaya, Pumpkin Pie & Polished Pink.

Here’s a pretty card I shared during last week’s video. It features many new upcoming products!

I also used a new stamp set called Delicate Framing. The greeting is stamped on a new set of dies called Creative Haven dies and that’s layered on a die from Branching Out.

I love the leaf die-cuts in the Creative Haven dies! They’re just my style.

Here it is fully opened: The Mossy Meadow layer is scored & folded to add another opportunity for adding our pretty designer papers.

On last week’s video I shared a bunch of new, upcoming products and this card is a favorite!

Can you spy some of the new products here? There are 4 of them…..

I’ll help you out…. One is the stamp & die bundle of course; it’s called Friendly Foliage. The other is the designer paper called Brushed with Beauty. Next is that pretty embossing folder called Pretty Patterns of course! Lastly is the gems.

I changed up the card above to use the other coordinating die in this bundle. It cuts out the center of the foliage.

Sneak Peek of new products with a sketch for inspiration

On last week’s video I shared three cards featuring a new designer paper coming out in November. It’s called Brushed with Beauty.

My colors include Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow & Calypso Coral. The stamp & dies bundle is called Words of Beauty and is part of the Brushed with Beauty suite. Demonstrators (& new team members) are able to order it early but you can see and order these new products on November 4th. They’re part of our Online Exclusives – new products released every other month.

This layout was inspired by a sketch. Every month my Flowerbug’s have a creative challenge involving sketches or a color combo. This will be our November sketch inspiration. Sketches are a fabulous start to creating a card or scrapbook page. And they’re just an inspiration. As you can see I did not use a circle but the die from the Label Me Grateful dies seen here. I also flipped the center rectangle on it’s side.

The Words of Beauty bundle will be a great option for greeting phrases. It includes two large sets of dies with the words ‘just’ and ‘because’ and then plenty of words to create your greeting. Plus the die I used with the word ‘because’ below is one of three in the package.

You’ll notice the new packaging in the photo below. All new stamps & dies will be in these envelopes. Also all new stamps will be clear photopolymer and not red rubber.
