How to achieve the Inked Block Technique; you only need 3 things!

I shared the Inked Block technique on Tuesday's Facebook Live video. It's fun, easy and you need just 3 things!

I chose to feature the Garden Wishes stamp set & a variety of colors. This first one is Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape & Pacific Point.

You need a clear block, Stampin' Write markers and a spritzer filled with water. Below are the measurements for the cards.

Tips for success:

Use Stampin' Write 'water based' markers on your block; do not use Blends which are permanent markers.
Start with the lightest color first so you don't get a dark color on your marker tip
After filling up the block with ink (I colored on the diagonal) spritz it with water until dots form.
The more water you add the better the inks blend. But don't do too much or the colors blend too much.
Press the block directly on your White card stock and hold for a few second.
Have a tissue or paper towel ready to dab up excess water off the paper.

The Stampin' Write markers I used on this next card are Granny Apple Green, Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point.

The card below has a softer feel. The colors are Pale Papaya, Pumpkin Pie & Polished Pink.

Look at these awesome Sale-a-Bration Team Swaps

This weekend we held our Team meeting & swap and I can't wait to share them all with you!

First up is Mary's card featuring the Rings of Love designer series paper. She created a double Z fun fold card!

Her colors include Night of Navy & Mint Macaron. She used the Charming Sentiments bundle for her greeting and popped it up onto a Mint Oval punched piece.

- Night of Navy 4 1/4" X 11" scored at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2"
- Mint Macaron 9 3/4" X 3 1/4" scored at 4 1/4" & 7 1/4"
- DSP is 4" X 3"
- White is 2 1/4" X 3"
Next is a sweet card made by Karen; it's a perfect layout for quick cards that highlight your designer paper! She also used the Rings of Love designer paper; it's free in August with a $50 order. See it here.

Her colors are also Night of Navy with Mint Macaron. She colored her White seam binding ribbon Navy with a Blends marker.

- White card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored in half at 4 1/4"
- Night of Navy 3 1/4" X 4 1/4"
- Designer paper 3" X 4"
- Mint greeting strip 3 1/4" X 3/4"
Next is a pretty card made by Laura. She featured the Wonderful You Designer Paper which is part of the Wonderful You stamp set & designer paper bundle seen here. They're both free with a $100 Stampin' Up! order in August.

She used the Stylish Shapes stitched square dies to cut the flowers out of the designer paper. No stamping needed!

Rings of Love Triple Panel card with video & measurements

Here's one more card I made during last week's FB Live with the free Rings of Love designer paper in our Sale-a-Bration offering.

I cut a 3 1/4" X 3" piece of the designer paper and then cut it into three 1" strips. I then layered it onto three strips of Evening Evergreen CS.

I textured the Crumb Cake layer with the Timber embossing folder – it's also a new Free Sale-a-Bration choice in August; with any $50 Stampin' Up! order.

I love how the three panels create a 'scene', making the DSP the star of the card. See the Rings of Love DSP here.

- Poppy Parade 5 ½”X 8 ½”
- White is 5 ¼” X 4”, Crumb Cake 5” X 3 ¾”
- Evergreen is 5 1/8” X 3 7/8”, DSP is 1” X 3 ¼”
- Evergreen strips are 1 1/8” X 3 3/8”

Perched in a Tree Explosion card with video tutorial!

I can't stop using the Aspen dies! I absolutely love this tree die-cut!

I created this card on last week's FB Live video. You can watch it here.

For the card front, I simply added a layer of the Rings of Love DSP behind it for a soft background. You can keep it this simple or create your own background!

However I made the inside of the card extra special with an Explosion fold. These look so difficult to do but honestly they're not! Please watch the video; afterwards you'll want to make one!

The left card has the Rings of Love DSP and the card on the right features the Storybook Gnomes designer paper. For greetings I used the Soft Seedlings & Perched in a Tree stamp sets.

I also shared an easy ribbon trick in the video; if you have trouble with bows I hope you watch.
