Heartfelt Hexagon cards with free printable project sheets

Today I'm sharing a few more cards made with the Heartfelt Hexagon punch bundle. See the first project here. 

When creating this next card I chose to use the Delightful Floral designer paper seen here. I had a few large scraps in the package and created this card:

It's a classic layout that's perfect for using up those random pieces of designer paper you might have.  I like to layer one of the pieces to bring in another color layer; Pretty Peacock here. Then I simply added a layered Hexagon punch combined with the pretty Elegant Edge Tag Topper punch. You can see it here online.  

My Lemon Lime Twist strip is 1" X 3 1/2" which is perfect for that delicate edge.  

It's quite easy to layer the Hexagon punch.  Punch a second contrasting piece, cut it in half horizontally and add the stamped punched piece to it leaving a small border at the top & bottom.  You can see how this is done in the video below.

Next is an easy card layout featuring designer paper scraps.  This time I chose the beautiful All About Autumn specialty designer paper.  This has been so popular they cannot keep it in stock!  It's currently unavailable but should return the week of October 30th.

  • A CUTE Kite Delight card idea; shared in a video with blending & coloring tips

    Here is another playful card made with the Kite Delight stamp set in the 2022 January-June Stampin' Up! catalog.

    I used a Blending Brush and Coastal Cabana ink to create a soft sky background.  Then the kite tails were stamped using Black Memento ink and colored in with Blends markers.  Each kit was stamped using the coordinating color of card stock – Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight and Coastal Cabana.  They are fussy cut since there is not a set of dies to match.  I don't mind this at all since they're easy to cut out. 

    This stamp set is NOT carrying over into the new catalog and will retire at the end of May. See it here:

    I used the Pick a Banner punch on the Highland Heather greeting banner.  The banner & kits are all popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.

  • TWO Cactus Cutes fun fold cards with video & measurements!

    Here are two more Cactus Cuties cards from last Tuesday's FB Live.  Follow me here on Facebook to see each video and more! 

    This first card features three of the new In Colors from the brand new Annual Catalog.  They're Sweet Sorbet (red), Parakeet Party (green) and Tahitian Tide (turquoise).  Aren't they vibrant and eye catching!

    I call this card a Dutch Door card fold.  It's pretty easy to do and makes great use of your card stock too.  Watch how with my quick tip in the video here.

    This next card is one we made at my April card clubs here in Minot.  It's called a Split Panel card.  The designer paper is from the recently retired Pattern Party host DSP.  We have a new host DSP called Design a Daydream that is just as great in the annual catalog.  I love these free paper options for hosts!!

    My colors include Granny Apply Green, Bermuda Bay and Mango Melody.  A little bit of Coastal Cabana too.  We used the Cactus Builder punch for the pot, cactus and flowers.  You can see the measurements below.

  • New In Colors paired with the Kite Delight stamp set

    I shared this colorful kite card on a recent FB live video here.  I wanted to use the Kite Delight stamp set and the newest In Colors coming out on May 3rd. 

    The kite and sun are fussy cut and the kite is colored in with new In Color Blends markers.

    I've been sharing the new In Colors with my Club gals this month and everyone LOVES them!  They are so bright, happy & will be perfect additions to our color line.

    I heat embossed the clouds with White embossing powder.  But the image is an outline image and I wanted my clouds to be 'white'. So I used the Chalk Marker to color it in.  Unfortunately it was on the retired list and is unavailable now. But two other ideas are to use a White watercolor pencil or a blender pen and White craft ink.
