Gorgeous ways to add color to the Quiet Reflection stamp; with video & free project sheet

Today I'm sharing one of the projects I featured on last week's Live video.  I chose to showcase the Quiet Reflection stamp set and ways you can add color to the solid image.

You can see this stamp set online here.  It's not retiring; it will return in the new Annual Catalog.  It's a beautiful sympathy set.

I chose to use Starry Sky with Shaded Spruce. The dies are the Thoughtful Expressions dies and sadly they are already out of stock; they were on the retiring list and they've sold out.

Notice the two toned image here.  This one is simply a matter of inking in Blue and stamping. Then ink a sponge dauber in green ink and dab over the stamped image.  So easy!

I do have a free project sheet with the directions, measurements & supplies list.  See it here.  Download Quiet Reflection 2-toned

In the video posted here on YouTube you can see how I made this card and another with an entirely different way to achieve a 2-toned image.  I'll share the card on the right below tomorrow.

  • Beautiful Traditions of Christmas kit to go or tutorial; reserve yours soon

One of my October kits to go & tutorials features the gorgeous Traditions of Christmas designer paper. Each card is a fun fold too!

I love the floral and traditional patterns in this pack of specialty paper. It has gold foil accents and a wonderful variety of colors.

You can choose between the pre-cut kit to go or the PDF tutorial. The kit includes almost $20 in Stampin’ Up! products AND the pre-cut cards too. The product includes 1/2 pkg of the DSP, a share of Sparkly Sequins and Olive linen thread.

I include the die-cuts & punched pieces too. Everything is cut for you except your new designer paper share which is 6″ X 12″ – or one half package. You will need your own inks and greeting sentiments plus adhesives of course.

Opt in for the pre-cut kit to go here for $31.

Or the PDF tutorial here. The tutorial and exclusive video will be emailed to you immediately after payment. It includes photos, measurements, a supply list and step by step instructions.

Remember that there are two more kit to go options in October; I’ll share them here in the next few days. Or to see them please go to my shop at www.flowerbugshop.com You’ll save money on shipping when you purchase more than one kit.

  • I finished the Handmade & Heartfelt kit; it’s so cool!

I played with this fun kit yesterday and made 13 cards! This neat card kit is discounted through today only. It would make a fabulous gift or enjoy it for yourself. see it here

It’s a 10 card kit with envelopes, a stamp set, a storage box, ink spot and more. I added a few extra card bases and got an extra 3 cards from it.
    Here are my bonus cards:

See the lower right card? I used the template from the lower left card to sponge Secret Sea ink through the holes to create the starburst pattern. When I did this I did it on the back side so I could still use it on the ‘thanks’ card.

Below are a few more cards I changed up from the original plan. It’s so fun to do this. Even though it’s a pre-planned card kit I love adding my own spin on them.

The cards, envelopes, stamp set etc all fit in the organizer box that’s includes. What a great way to store your cards! See this kit here.

Click on the photo below to see it online and get the details on purchasing this. Remember that

  • Artistic Leaves with Gathering Together with an easy card sketch plan

Here’s the second card I shared on last week’s video. I wanted to feature a card sketch my Flowerbug’s are currently using.

Besides the Artistic Leaves stamp set I also used the Gathering Moments bundle and the Gathering Together specialty designer paper with this sketch:

You might wonder what a sketch is… It’s a layout of boxes or shapes to indicate where you might add layers such as card stock, designer paper, punches or die-cuts.

My colors include Basic Beige, Cajun Craze, Gold and Vanilla.

Here’s the sketch if you want to save it for an idea. I truly believe card sketches are a fabulous way to get inspiration when creating. Remember that a sketch is just the beginning; you can change it up in any way depending on what products you’re using.

The measurements are also include in the free project sheet I created. Click here to download or print it.

I hope you watch the video below to catch the tips and also to see the other beautiful autumn leaf card.
