Gorgeous Rocker cards with a video tutorial & free project sheet!

Here's another special card I shared on last week's Live video. It's called a 'rocker card'. 

Softly Stippled rocker card Save

The pretty roses are from the Softly Stippled designer series paper – seen here in our Sale-a-Bration catalog. I fussy cut the roses on the upper circles and colored them with Pool Party ink and a Wink of Stella. I love coloring with my Wink of Stella as it adds a beautiful shimmer. Watch the video below to see how. 

It's made with our Deckled Circle dies seen here. There are a ton of them in the set – 14 sizes! They carried over from our Holiday catalog and can be seen online. 

DECKLED CIRCLES DIES Save

For the card base I used the second from the largest die; it's almost 5 1/2" wide. Once you cut it, score it in half at 2 3/4". 

Of course you'll use the next size down for the front half layer and the inside.

The second sample was made with Calypso Coral & Pebbled Path. It seems like Pebbled Path is a perfectly beautiful color to pair most of our soft colors with.

  • Santa Suit candy bar pull-up treat with measurements

    I shared this cute candy bar treat on my Tuesday FB Live video this week. Need a last minute treat or stocking stuffer??

    When you pull the ribbon it brings the candy bar out of the 'suit'.  So fun! And quite easy to make too.  It fits a standard full size Hershey candy bar but would likely work for others too.

    Measurements: 

    • Real Red 6” square scored on one side at 1 ½”, 1 ¾”, 4 ¼” & 4 ½”
    • Black strip ¾” X 6” scored same as above, Black 1/2" 'buttons'
    • White glimmer ¾” X 6”
    • Silver buckle is from the Potted Succulents dies

    The  greeting is from the Holly Jolly Wishes  stamp set.  I used the Tailor Made Tags for my White greeting tag.

  • Snowflake Vellum fun fold card with video

    We made this pretty card at my December Card Clubs.  I thought snowflakes would be perfect for many occasions coming up.

    I used the Snowflake 12" specialty vellum that 'was' in our Holiday catalog.  They ran out of stock in early December.  And the Wonderful Snowflakes (large white snowflake) was discounted on the Last Chance list but they've run out now too!  This time of year is so difficult to plan for.  

    But they loved the card and thought the fold was fun too.

    Details: 

    • The back of the card is simply a quarter sheet of Starry Sky card stock – 5 1/2" X 4 1/4".  
    • The fold is 3 1/4" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4". 
    • The large piece of vellum and the white inside are 3" X 4".  The side pieces of vellum are about 1 1/2" X 4".
    • I used the Joyful Flurry stamp set (retiring) & dies for the inside of the left card.  The Frosted Flurry dies are now out of stock. The birthday greeting on the right is from the Celebrating You stamp set (annual catalog)
    • The Starry Sky stitched circle is 3" around; a die-cut from the Stylish Shapes dies seen here.  They are also out of stock right now!  Sheesh!  I picked popular items for this card, didn't I?
