My team member Bobby sent me this amazing card last week.  I was seriously blown away!  She is super talented!!

Eden's Garden Bobby Save

She used the Sunflower dies to create a medallion for the main greeting.  I never knew it would double as a medallion; I love it so much!

Her background is created by adhering strips of the Ever Eden specialty designer paper (seen here) to a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Evening Evergreen card stock.  This paper will be discontinued in early January; it's available only while supplies last. Notice the pretty gems; these are called Garden gems and can be seen here.  I'm surprised they're not sold out; they are gorgeous and a terrific value. They are also while supplies last. 

She die-cut two 'sunflowers' from Gold foil & Evening Evergreen card stock and adhered them together, offsetting them a bit. She used the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set for the main greeting, embossed in Gold embossing powder.

Why did she send me a Congratulations card?  Well I had a wonderful year as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator!  I achieved top levels for Leadership, Team Building and Sales!  I'm most excited to achieve #29 overall in the United States.  Woo hoo!!!

  • Neat Double Decker pop-up card with measurements

    Today I'm sharing a new pop-up fold – at least it's new to me!  It's called a Double Decker pop up. 

    Masterfully Made 5 Save

    Measurements: 

    • White card base 8 ½” X 5 ½” scored at 2 1/8” & 4 ¼”
    • White inside pop-up box – 3 ½” square scored at ¾”, 1 ½”, 2 ¼” and 3”
    • Front textured piece 1 7/8” X 5 ¼”
    • Scalloped White inside die-cut is 3 1/8” X 4 ½”
    • Fresh Freesia is 2 ¾” X 3 ¾”
    • Designer Paper – 2 pieces per card; 2 ½” X 3 ½” & 4” X 5 ¼”

    The inside 'box' that pops up the scalloped rectangle layer is adhered to both the side and back of the card.  It folds flat when mailing but sure adds nice dimension when the card is opened.

  • One Horse Open Sleigh Spanner fun fold card

    I was surprised to see the One Horse Open Sleigh designer paper back in stock.  It was unavailable last week but it's back now.  I featured it in one of my July card kits to go.  See it here online.

    ONE HORSE OPEN SLEIGH 6" X 6" (15.2 X 15.2 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER Save

    This designer paper is so pretty; it's filled with beautiful scenes and soft prints. 

    It's called a spanner card because of it's unique fold – the horizontal layer spans the card from side to side.

    I added a few die-cut trees on the right side.  I colored them with Blends markers – adding brown and Gray Granite to the white. The greeting is from the Lasting Joy stamp set. 

    The Gray Granite card base is a simple 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 4 1/4".  Then you cut up to the score line at the 1 1/4" mark on front; on both sides. 

    I added designer paper to the center panel and also to both side panels.  The horizontal piece 'spans' under the to side panels like this:

    Measurements:

    • Card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" score at 4 1/4".  Cut up to the score line at 1 1/4". 
    • Horizontal layer 5 1/2" X 1"
    • Designer paper 2 3/4" X 4" and two pieces 1" X 4" for the sides.

    I created these beautiful Christmas cards on a video last year.

    I call it the 5 at a time technique.  You stamp one sheet of neutral paper and then cut it into 5 pieces using my template below.  And the neat thing is the layers under the stamped White card stock are also cut using a template. Just 2 sheets of card stock to make 5 card fronts!  *Watch the video below or click here.

    See how I stamped down the center of the White card stock on the photo above?  Next I cut it using the template below: 

    The first template is what you stamp on.  The one below is for the layers under the stamped pieces. It's just 1/8" larger for a nice thin layered accent.
