Get 2 cards at a time with this special card layout & a 6 X 6″ piece of designer paper!

I shared this card on last week's Live video. It features the So Very Merry stamp set and the Snowflake Magic designer paper.

I made a bunch of these cards for our Flowerbug's October Christmas card swap. You might wonder how I achieved the starburst effect with the Snowflake Magic designer paper. Keep reading plus watch the video seen here or below!

Other products used:

Vellum card stock, Gold Foil paper, Deckled circle dies, Stylish Shapes dies, Blends markers for coloring & Gold heat embossing.

Here's what the inside looks like. Make note of the little designer paper triangles inside; remember this when you see the cutting templates below.

My friend Lyssa Zwolenek inspired these cards and created the template too. She is super creative and so great about sharing ideas!

Below are a few cutting templates for you.

Directions:

You'll start out with a 6" square of designer paper.
First cut is at 2". You're left with a 4" X 6" piece on the right.
Cut the 2" strip into a 2" X 4" piece, leaving you with a 2" square.
Next cut the 4" X 6" piece on the right into three 2" X 4" pieces.

Now you'll cut each 2" X 4" strip into two pieces by cutting it in half on the diagonal.
Be sure you cut each one in the same direction.
Cut the 2" square in half on the diagonal and then cut each triangle in half. These pieces are used on the inside of the card.

You'll use 4 of the large pieces and two small triangles on each card.

Ombre sponging technique with Flowering Foils

Before I talk about today's project I have to let you know that they Golden Honey Designer Paper is no longer available. It was one of the free choices during Sale-a-Bration. Unfortunately these products are only available while supplies last. So don't delay on your orders!

This next card is a version of a card I'm sending to my new Team members who purchased the Starter kit this month. I chose to use Bermuda Bay with Black and White; you know the 'Black & White with a pop of color' theme. It's a classic and always works!

I started out with a 2" X 5" strip of the Flowering Foils specialty designer paper. It's gorgeous with silver and rose gold foil designs. You can see it here. It's a free choice with any $50 order while supplies last.

I inked a wedge of sponge in Bermuda Bay ink and lightly sponged from bottom up. I always start off of the card stock when I want a smooth look. Also sponge in a soft circular motion; almost like you are washing it. You can see me demo this in my FB Live video here.

- pearls are colored with the dark Bermuda Bay Blends marker
- The flower is fussy cut from the same designer paper and colored with light Bermuda Bay Blends marker

Gorgeous Flowering Foils projects video

Here are three of the cards I shared in the FB video. These photos do not do them justice! The colors are Silver, White, Petal Pink and Rose Gold. The greetings are all from the Rare Blessings stamp set seen here.

I made a pretty stitched frame with the Stitched Rectangles dies and Silver Foil paper. Added a greeting and a fussy cut flower from the Flowering Foils paper. I sponged it with Petal Pink ink for a bit of soft color.

Check out this 'One Sheet Box' made from one 12 X 12" sheet of Designer paper! It's a really nice size; big enough to hold quite a few cookies inside it.
- Score the 12 x 12 paper at 3″ and 9 inches
- Rotate paper and score at 1″, 3 1/2″, 6 1/2″ and 9 inches. You can watch the video below to see it made.
