Favored Flowers and Beautifully Happy – lots of ideas to inspire you!

Today I'm featuring the Favored Flowers and Beautifully Happy Sale-a-Bration choices.  This awesome promotion ends tomorrow!  Do you have everything you want yet?

I am a little surprised it's still available.  The Dainty Flowers DSP sold out and I thought this one would be next.  

Next I'm featuring my favorite stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration catalog – the Beautifully Happy set.  

BEAUTIFULLY HAPPY PHOTOPOLYMER STAMP SET (ENGLISH) Save

There are three main reasons it's a favorite:

  1. It's Distinktive and a 2-step set!  Distinktive means it gives two or more hues of color with one stamping.  Love these! 
  2. It's flowers!  Botanical sets tend to be among my faves. 
  3. The greetings are wonderful; I especially like the mixed font.  
  4. Okay; here's a 4th reason – it doesn't have to be colored in.  The solid stamps do it for you!

  • How to create a beautiful scene with the Peaceful Pier set; a free project sheet & video tutorial

    I shared a video tutorial on how to create this gorgeous scene last week.  

    Peaceful Pier swap Save

    I used the Peaceful Pier stamp set, inks and blending brushes.  

    PEACEFUL PIER CLING STAMP SET (ENGLISH) Save

    I first stamped the dock and tree images using Black Memento ink. Then added a few more 'grass' images at the bottom. Next you add ink with Blending Brushes.  I used Lost Lagoon for the water, Granny Apple Green for the grass, Balmy Blue and Daffodil Delight for the sky. 

    I did color the dock and trees with Blends markers. I did not need to mask anything. As long as you're adding ink lightly with the Blending Brushes you shouldn't need to.  

    Pieceful Pier scene Save

    After I was finished adding color I used the Textured Notes dies to cut my image into 2 pieces. Ad added the frame to a Black CS layer and added the center with Stampin' Dimensionals.  I love the dimension this gives to the card scene.

    Paper Pumpkin kits keep getting better & better!  

    Here's one of my bonus projects from May's kit; Mountain Majesties. As usual the cards suggested in the kit are beautiful but I love making something new with the many elements in the kit.
