Beautiful Fancy Phrases cards with video!

I made this pretty card on Facebook Live last week.  It's cased from Marelle Taylor. It's close to a Black & White with a pop of color; a real favorite of mine.

It features the lovely Fancy Phrases stamp set.  If you like flowers and like to color you'll love it!

The scalloped die on the side is from the Painted Poppies dies.  The punches are the Label Me Fancy & Timeless Label. They layer wonderfully!

Other products: Everyday Label punch to achieve the notched corners, Blends markers in Magenta Madness, Just Jade, Daffodil Delight and the Polka Dot Tulle ribbon.

Measurements:

  • White card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2", front panel is 3" X 4" plus scraps for punch & die-cuts
  • Black is 3" X 4 5/8"

I also made a pretty Origami fold card with the Flowers for Every Season paper pack.. Here's a link to the video on Facebook or click below to watch.

  • Bamboo Beauty & the Ink Swipe Technique

I created this striking card for a swap I participated in with some of my Demonstrator leader friends.  I wanted to highlight the beautiful Bamboo Beauty stamp set.

I decided to create a bold background effect by swiping ink pads directly across my Basic White CS.  Each one turned out totally different!

I chose to use these colors from top to bottom – Pale Papaya, Mango Melody, Flirty Flamingo & Calypso Coral. Depending on how well inked your pads are you can get a variety of hues.  After I swiped the darker colors I used the Pale Papaya over it all to blend and soften the colors together.

My measurements for this card are as follows:

    • So Saffron card base 5 1/2" X 8 1/2" scored at 2 1/8" & 4 1/4"
    • White (before swiping) 3 1/2" X 4 3/4"
    • Black 3 5/8" X 4 7/8"

I hope you try this technique; it's so fun!  I shared this technique using glossy paper in a video a few years ago.  Here's a link to it.

  • Watercolor Shapes Fun Fold cards – FB Live Replay video

On my weekly FB Live I shared many ideas for the Watercolor Shapes stamp set.  The cards below are just one of the three card versions I shared.  Scroll down to catch the video.  Or click here to see it.

I offer frequent Creative Card Challenges for my Flowerbug's Team and this is the one we're currently working on:

Here's a closer view one card. I love how the solid images stamp with multiple hues of color without any effort!  It may look like my ink pad wasn't inked enough but this is on purpose. These Distinctive stamps are wonderful and provide a lot of dimension effortlessly!

Which do you prefer?  Pale Papaya or Fresh Freesia?

There are so many possibilities with this set; I just scratched the surface! Click here to see it in my store.
